As of March 3, you will no longer be able to buy the game in any digital stores or purchase any DLCs for the game. Resident Evil: Re:Verse Will Shut Down on June 29
“Resident Evil Re:Verse was developed in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Resident Evil series, and your overwhelming support for the game has far exceeded our expectations since the time of its release,” said a blog post. “Now that we’ve reached a new turning point for the series, we feel that Resident Evil Re:Verse has served its original, celebratory purpose admirably.
“We are incredibly grateful for your warm support for Resident Evil Re:Verse, and we deeply apologize for bringing you this disappointing news.” Along with this announcement came a timeline of the shut down, which was mentioned above.
Resident Evil Re:Verse was announced back in 2021, and came packed along with Resident Evil Village. In time, more content was released with it, alongside the Resident Evil remakes over the years. While it wasn’t the most popular multiplayer game, it was quite a novelty for hardcore Resident Evil fans.
You can still download and play the game right now, but after March 3, only those who have the codes will be able to access it. If the game wasn’t shutting down by June, you may have been able to hold on to that code till 2799.
