Clash of Clans has brought in the Snake Festival Event for us, as part of the February 2025 Lunar New Year event. There are a lot of things to discuss, as we have a new Hero Equipment coming, event-themed troops, rewards and other stuff too, so everything you need to know about the event, I’ve got you covered in this space.
Clash of Clans Snake Festival Event: Every detail explained
Overview
Snake Festival event kicks off on February 7, 2025, and lasts the entire month. You will collect Red Lanterns from multiplayer battles, which can be exchanged for Snake Medals at the Trader Shop. When you start the event, you’ll receive 100 Red Lanterns. If you purchase the event pass, you’ll get a 1,000 bonus medal boost.
Event Troops
We get two Special-Themed troops with the event. The Snake Barrel, available from Town Hall 6 to Town Hall 17 targets defenses and, once destroyed, releases a swarm of snakes that deal high damage but have low health, making them easy targets for splash damage.
The Firecracker is making a return from last year’s Lunar New Year event. It fires projectiles with splash damage, similar to a Scattershot, allowing it to hit multiple targets in a line. It works best when placed behind tanks like Root Riders, Yetis, or Giants, keeping it safe while it deals damage.
Event Track
Red Lanterns appear in three random buildings during attacks, and you can farm them faster using spells like Lightning, Fireball, or Giant Arrow. If you’re in Legends League, you’ll earn a slight bonus. At 2,500 Red Lanterns, you’ll unlock a 30% training boost, which stacks with the Gold Pass perk.
To complete the event track, you’ll need 16,000 Red Lanterns, which will reward you with a free Snake Shrine obstacle. If you’re looking for extra rewards, you can continue on a bonus track, requiring 21,000 Red Lanterns to earn an additional 650 Snake Medals. If you’re playing for free, you can earn up to 3,750 Snake Medals, but you’ll get an extra 5,500 medals if you purchase the event pass.
Event Rewards
The Trader Shop features past event equipment along with the new Snake Bracelet for the Barbarian King. It is a passive ability that summons snakes while the Barbarian King takes damage, which makes it a powerful one. The event pass also gives you an additional 600 Glowy Ore and 80 Star Ore, which are useful for upgrading equipment.
