Keeping your health up is important in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and there are several ways that you can do so.
Stealthy players will soon notice that being dirty is their worst enemy, and they will feel more encouraged to Washing often. So, players need to learn how to wash themselves, their clothes, and their weapons. Hygiene directly alters how successful players are during ‘face’ situations, and given that the game has many quests where players need to negotiate and participate in social events, learning the basics of etiquette in the Old Bohemia is a must.
How To Wash In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Players might have noticed by now, but appearing ‘dirty’ in the game can trigger a reaction from several NPCs in the world. This can lead to many funny (and dangerous) situations since Guards and Enemies can detect Henry if he ‘smells bad.’
On the other hand, entering a tavern covered in blood from head to toe can also be considered ‘rude,’ and some Inskeep or Barmaidens will refuse service to the muck-covered client.
So, here are all the options Herny has to improve his Hygiene during the adventure. Including Basic Wash, Laundry Spots, Bath Spots, and how to use Bath Services.
Weapons and Armor can also get Dirty, but they can be easily cleaned with Basic Wash. The Clothes are a different tale to tell, and require a more thorough scrubbing to get rid of the dirt and blood.
How To Perform A Basic Wash
There are many ‘free basic washing spots’ scattered around the world, and players can identify them easily in towns since they’re round tubs of water with a dirty cloth hanging on the sides. They can usually be found outside taverns, houses, and stores.
To use them players should approach and wait until they are able to interact with the spot, and then use the interaction key to trigger a short cutscene where Henry will wash his hands.

Weapons and armor can lose their quality over time, degrading their overall worth and effectiveness. Here’s how players can repair them.
This will provide a basic hygiene boost, and clean the visible blood on Henry’s armor and weapon. But this doesn’t provide a reduction in Conspicuousness, which is the stat that increases the level of alert of the character, and this means the Guards and Enemies will detect Henry faster. Basically: smell, color of the clothes, and other alarming factors.
To truly clean everything from head to toe, Henry will need to use the Bath services, or a Launder spot and find a Bath Spot in the world to reset his Hygiene meters and prevent others from judging him for his smell (or looks).
How To Wash Clothes In Launder Spots
Launder Spots are easily found along rivers and near bodies of water like Ponds, Rivers, and Lakes. Henry can approach and use one of these spots provided that he has Soap (that can be bought from the Bath House Maids or General Traders).
With Soap in the inventory, approach and use it like the basic washing spot and allow Henry to select clothes washing among the options. Soap, like any other consumable, has a certain durability, and the more dirty Henry’s clothes are, the more Soap will be used.
How To Wash Body In Bath Spots
Similarly to Launder Spots, Bath Spots can be found in ponds and other similar bodies of water. To use them, players need to have Soap and approach the spot to perform a thorough scrub on Henry’s body.
This will eliminate road dirt, sweat, muck, blood, and mud, and greatly boost Henry’s Charisma. Remember that this can be done while traveling to avoid accumulating the negative effects of being Dirty.
How To Use Bath Services
Now for a real deep scrub, players will have to go to a Bath House and request Bath Services, which might also include full healing and clothes washing, and a little extra. This is the most effective way to get Heanry at 100% Cleanliness (or Hygiene) and avoid drawing unwanted attention or the judgment of others.
Of course, this option is the most expensive and will require a few dozen Groschen depending on which services Henry takes. Clothes Washing and Basic Bath costs around 24 Groschen. Adding healing and wound suture costs 12 extra coins. The ‘special services’ can be quite expensive, but add the Alpha Male buff which improves Henry’s Charisma by 2. This might be good when players need to undertake special quests that require mingling among the high castes, for example: the Wedding Crashers Quest.
Players can also buy Perfume from the Bath House Maids, and this can be used to boost Henry’s Charisma stat even further. But beware, combining two Perfumes at the same time will have a negative impact and reduce charisma instead.
It is important to mention that the prices of the Bath Services can be haggled, so a skillful and reputable player will be able to reduce the fee considerably if he knows how to negotiate, that is.
