There are loads of ways to kill people in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Of course, you can get your sword out for a good old duel or fight with your fists, but you can also poison people to either kill them or get them to leave the area.

When Does Kingdom Come: Deliverance Take Place?
Ever wonder exactly when and where Kingdom Come Deliverance takes place? Here’s what you want to know.
However, poison isn’t easy to get in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. You’ll need to buy it from the right places or find the ingredients and make it yourself once you’ve found the recipe. To make it yourself, you’ll need to do a few challenging things and go to the right locations.
Where To Buy Poison
While you’ll be able to find poison lying around in the world, there’s one reliable place to buy poison. If you head into the woods north west of Trosky Castle, you’ll find a small hut.
In there, you’ll be able to speak to Herbalist Barnaby. He sells three types of poison, each for between 20 and 30 Groschen. He usually only sells the weak variants, but they’re more than sufficient. You’ll need to brew higher quality ones yourself.
- Dollmaker Poison, which makes running impossible, reduces weapon skills, and reduces health.
- Bane Poison, which reduces health dramatically.
- Lullaby Poison, which reduces energy to zero.
You can head back to Barnaby between 9am and 6pm any day to speak to him and buy some poison.
How To Get Poison Recipe
You can also buy recipes for the poisons from Barnaby in Trosky. He sells the recipes for both Lullaby and Dollmaker, but not Bane. They cost around 200 Groschen each once you’ve haggled for the best price.
You can get the recipe for Bane Poison from Aranka, who’s in the Nomad camp north west of Semine, on the far west side of the Trosky region.
Aranka will also sell most of the herbs you’re looking for, as well as some of the poisons.
However, you don’t actually need the recipe to craft potions and poisons in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. As long as you know the recipe, you can brew it, even if Henry hasn’t technically learned it himself.
How To Craft Poison
There are three poisons in the game. Below are the recipes and instructions for each of them:
Dollmaker Poison Recipe (One Valerian and two Herb Paris)
- Using Spiritus as the base, add the Herb Paris to the cauldron and boil for three turns.
- Grind the Valerian and add it to the cauldron
- Boil it for two turns.
- Distill into vials.
Bane Poison Recipe (One Wormwood, two Belladonna, and one Amanita Muscaria)
- Add the Wormwood to the cauldron and boil for tow turns.
- Grind the Belladonna and add to the cauldron.
- Boil for one turn using the bellows.
- Add the Amanita Muscaria to the caudron.
- Distill and pour.
In the recipe in-game, it says Fly Agaric instead of Amanita Muscaria. The latter is the correct ingredient.
Lullaby Poison Recipe (One Poppy, one Herb Paris, and one Thistle)
- Add the Poppy to the cauldron and boil for one turn.
- Add the Thistle to the cauldron and boil for one turn.
- Grind the Herb Paris and add it to the cauldron.
- Distill into vials and pour.
How To Use Poison
You can’t just give the poison potion to an NPC and force them to drink it. You need to somehow get them to drink something else that has been poisoned.
When you approach a drink or some food in the open-world, you will be given two options: you can drink/steal it, or pour a poison into it. If you have poison to hand, you’ll need to hold X/A if you’re on PlayStation or Xbox, or E if you’re on PC, to pour it into the drink.
You’ll then need to wait for the NPC you’re targeting to drink or eat it. Therefore, make sure you’re putting poison in the right drink or pot of food. You may end up poisoning other people in the process.
