Mutt first appears during the beginning quest Easy Riders as Henry and his traveling party make camp for the night. Mutt is harassing Oats, the cook, for some food, and players will be tasked with playing a game of Dice in exchange for food for the dog.

Players will need to speak with Oats before they can progress further, and Oats tells Henry that he lost his wedding ring in a game of Dice against Tankard. The best way to defeat the wolves is to parry their attacks and ensure that they don’t get behind Henry. Once most of them are defeated, the rest will run away.

Mutt immediately joins Henry, but players must care for him properly in order to keep him happy and trained. Mutt’s mood can determine how willing he is to obey Henry, but he is easy to keep satisfied and must be fed fresh and unspoiled meat occasionally.
