Those signed up for the Standard tier of Xbox Game Pass have some new heavy hitters to check out with their subscription. It used to be that new games came to all tiers of Xbox Game Pass, with the only exception being console exclusives staying on console and PC exclusives staying on PC. That changed last year when Microsoft significantly revamped Xbox Game Pass by introducing new tiers.
Xbox Game Pass Core is the cheapest version of the service, and it comes with a set selection of games that are rarely updated, along with online multiplayer support. Then there’s Xbox Game Pass Standard, which includes a much larger library of titles, but no online. PC Game Pass gets access to everything, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes all Game Pass benefits in a single package, giving subscribers the most bang for their buck. The tier changes have hurt Game Pass’ value for those signed up for the Standard tier, but the bright side is that the Standard tier library is updated on a regular basis.

New Xbox Game Pass Game is a Big Hit
A newly-added Xbox Game Pass game is proving to be a big hit among users of the subscription service.
On February 5, three more games were added to the Xbox Game Pass Standard tier. From here on out, Xbox Game Pass Standard subscribers can play Soulslike game Another Crab’s Treasure, RPG throwback Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, and gigantic open world sci-fi RPG Starfield. Another Crab’s Treasure and Eiyuden Chronicle are available to both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S users, while Starfield is only available to those that have upgraded to the Series X/S consoles.

Earlier this month, Far Cry New Dawn was added to Xbox Game Pass Standard, so February 2025 has already proven to be rather busy for those signed up for the lowest tier of the service. Looking ahead, there’s at least one more game on the way for Xbox Game Pass Standard subscribers. Kingdom Two Crowns is coming to both the Ultimate and Standard tiers on February 13, marking a rare occasion when a game isn’t restricted to Ultimate first.
Those who are signed up for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are getting the most of the subscription service, of course. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have already had access to Another Crab’s Treasure, Eiyuden Chronicle, and Starfield, and they will also get to play Madden NFL 25 on February 6 and Avowed on February 18. Game Pass Ultimate also giving players access to online multiplayer makes it a no-brainer for those that regularly game on Xbox, though the Standard tier still has plenty of titles to keep players busy for the long run.
