  • Previous microtransactions in WoW also offered Trader’s Tender, but this is the largest one to date.

World of Warcraft just released a new bundle on Battle.net that includes two Valentine’s Day-themed broom mounts, alongside 600 Trader’s Tender. Fans can collect extra currency for the Trading Post in World of Warcraft by buying this controversial $30 bundle from now through March 31.

The Trading Post is a collection feature where players can collect Trader’s Tender by completing in-game tasks on the Traveler’s Log, which can then be exchanged for various cosmetics, toys, and mounts. February marks the two-year anniversary of the Trading Post in World of Warcraft, meaning fans can pick up an extra 500 Trader’s Tender to spend at a number of special vendors offering popular items from past catalogs at impressive discounts.

World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 is adding several new items that could be game-changers for fans who enjoy roleplaying and immersion in the MMORPG.

That said, players who need a little more Trader’s Tender can get some via the cash shop. The Enchanted Sweeper Bundle is a $30 offer on Battle.net and the in-game store that includes two mounts: the purple and black Twilight Witch’s Sweeper and the blue Sky Witch’s Sweeper, both of which match former cash shop transmogs of the same name. However, fans who buy this bundle will also earn 600 Trader’s Tender for use at the Trading Post.

The World of Warcraft Enchanted Sweeper Bundle

  • $30 bundle on the Battle.net or in-game store from now through March 31
    • Twilight Witch’s Sweeper
    • Sky Witch’s Sweeper
    • 600 Trader’s Tender
  • The mounts may eventually be added to the Trading Post, but no earlier than July.

This is not the first time World of Warcraft has offered Trader’s Tender in exchange for real money. Players get 500 Trader’s Tender for purchasing The War Within, but can earn up to 500 more by purchasing the Epic Edition, or half as much for the Heroic Edition. Additionally, the limited-time Corsage Pack and High Scholar’s Pack cash shop bundles also awarded 200 and 500 Trader’s Tender respectively – but at $5 and $25 each, the new Enchanted Sweeper Bundle is the largest Trader’s Tender microtransaction to date.

Needless to say, fans aren’t happy about this new bundle. While the Twilight and Sky Witch Sweeper mounts themselves are popular, few are pleased to see the Trading Post receive further monetization. Players have found it especially predatory that the extra vendors for the Trading Post’s two-year anniversary in World of Warcraft provide tons of cheap items to spend Trader’s Tender on right now, further tempting fans into buying this bundle.

The Twilight or Sky Witch’s Sweeper mounts may come to the Trading Post in the future, but not until at least July. Until then, players have two options for alternative recolors: The pink Love Witch’s Sweeper and the red Silvermoon Sweeper. The former is a new drop from the Love is In the Air instanced encounter in World of Warcraft for 2025, while the latter is available at the Trading Post for 600 Trader’s Tender. While the Enchanted Sweeper Bundle gives fans exactly enough to pick up this mount, players can also use the 750 Trader’s Tender available via the Plunderstorm Plunderstore if they have not already done so during the event’s first run.
