When Does Kingdom Come: Deliverance Take Place?

Ever wonder exactly when and where Kingdom Come Deliverance takes place? Here’s what you want to know.

First of all, spades are vital if you’re in the business of grave robbing. You need to dig up the grave to steal anything that’s been left inside – just make sure no one sees you do it. While that’s not something you’ll want to do much, you’ll need to dig up a grave or two as part of the story.

Where To Find A Spade

A spade by a wall in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

When you need one in the Trosky region, such as during the quest to find the Hermit and his sword, you will find one in a very reliable place.

If you head to the graveyard to the east of Troskowitz, not far along the path out of the town, you’ll find one resting on the building inside it. Grab it to add it to your inventory, just make sure no one sees you doing it.

As a general rule, any graveyard near any town is a good and reliable place to find a spade.

Grab a spade from that graveyard and you’ll have it for the rest of the game, as long as you don’t drop or sell it. You can put it in your horse storage if you don’t want to carry it at all times.

How To Buy A Spade

If you can’t find one to pick up, you’ll need to buy a spade from a merchant. Unfortunately, unlike herbs or potions, there’s not one single place to suggest you head to. There are a few different merchants who can sell spades.

You can try miners, traders, or innkeepers at taverns as they all have the highest chance of selling spades. You’ll have to keep looking around in towns and see which ones are selling spades.

Thankfully, once you find a merchant selling one, they’re not expensive. Part with just six Groschen or so and you’ll be able to buy one. It’ll then be in your inventory until you drop it.
