Assetto Corsa Evo, the third installment in developer Kunos Simulazioni’s sim racing video game series, entered early access with plenty of content for car enthusiasts to indulge themselves in. Aside from various tracks and game modes, Assetto Corsa Evo also comes with an impressive automobile roster that comprises 20 cars divided into two categories: Road and Racing.

It doesn’t feel too heavy to drive and does not compromise on its speed; so, despite being a Road vehicle, you can move quite quickly with the kind of handling that ensures that you do not keep hitting the corners while making a turn.
The only issue is that once you try to maintain its highest speed, the handling becomes a lot worse, but it is a beautiful car that looks both modern and old-school simultaneously.

Although there are not many cars available in the Racing category in the early access version of Assetto Corsa Evo, the options that Kunos Simulazioni does provide more than make up for the quantity. Enter the BMW M2 CS Racing, a car that prioritizes its speed above all else and truly feels like a powerhouse to drive.
It may take some getting used to, especially considering the weight that comes with the vehicle, but once you get past that, it is a car that is extremely enjoyable to drive if you want to speed up in as little time as possible.

Ferrari 296 GTB
It is not necessarily a surprise that one of the best cars in Assetto Corsa Evo is a Ferrari, but the 296 GTB stands out as an amazingly balanced vehicle in the Road category. Many of the Road vehicles available in the game can start to slip when put on an actual racetrack, but the Ferrari 296 GTB packs wonderful stability that makes cornering, even at high speeds, not that difficult to master.

Although the inclusion of brands like Honda and Toyota in the early access roster of Assetto Corsa Evo may seem surprising, the latter’s GR86 model provides some of the smoothest driving experiences that you will find in the game. After driving the Toyota GR86, you will realize why it was so hard to acquire these vehicles in real life, although the maximum speed limit can prove to be a deal-breaker for many.
However, the level of driving control that comes with the Toyota GR86 is extraordinary, making it just the right vehicle in various terrains with great handling to keep you on track.

Thanks to its lightweight nature and small size, the Mazda MX5 ND Cup does not take long to reach amazing speeds, with plenty of power to kick things off on the track. That comes with a bit of a tradeoff in the form of decreased balance in handling, which could result in the vehicle shaking up a bit after a certain speed is achieved.

Its road grip is easily the best that you will witness in the game, which results in a marvelous driving experience as you make your way through the laps on a track.
Because of its road grip, the control and handling that comes with the Mercedes-AMG GT2 is also quite superb, which makes braking and driving past corners an absolute breeze. And, of course, its classic design and speed are just the cherries on top of a near-perfect drive.
