In fact, Hogwarts Legacy was the best-selling game of 2023, with the open world action-RPG’s sales remaining strong to this day.
Considering Hogwarts Legacy‘s jaw-dropping sales success, one would think that most gamers that want to play it have already done so, but there may still be those holding out for a sale. Harry Potter fans that have yet to play Hogwarts Legacy for themselves may want to jump on the opportunity to snag the game while it’s at a historic low price.

WB and Avalanche Software are celebrating Hogwarts Legacy‘s anniversary by heavily discounting the game on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. Hogwarts Legacy‘s price has been slashed by a whopping 70%, making it just $17.99 on Steam. This is the cheapest that Hogwarts Legacy has ever been on the platform, so while it may eventually be available at an even lower price, it’s unlikely to go this low again for quite some time. Needless to say, anyone interested may want to seriously consider picking up Hogwarts Legacy while it’s this cheap. The deal will last until February 10, so the clock is ticking.
Hogwarts Legacy Price Slashed by 70% for Limited Time
Of course, Xbox and PlayStation gamers can take advantage of this 70% off deal as well, though the game is still slightly more expensive on consoles. Hogwarts Legacy typically retails for $69.99 on consoles, making its discounted price on those platforms $20.99 instead of $17.99. Regardless, it’s a great deal for Harry Potter fans that have yet to get the game and want to see what open world Hogwarts is all about.
Unfortunately, Nintendo gamers are being left out of the festivities. Even though Hogwarts Legacy is available on the Switch, that version of the game is still currently priced at a whopping $59.99, with no indication that the anniversary deal is going to be applied. It’s unclear why this is, especially since the Switch version is clearly the worst way to play the game, but maybe it’s selling well enough on Nintendo’s platform that discounting its price on Switch wouldn’t make sense. That’s just speculation, though, as no official reason has been given for why the Hogwarts Legacy anniversary sale isn’t available to Switch users.
