It’s quite a year for The Fantastic Four. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman have already made their way into Marvel Rivals with The Thing and Human Torch coming soon. Marvel’s first family will also finally make their first live-action MCU debut in July in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which just dropped its first trailer.

Marvel Rivals Sets Outrageous Expectations With Season 1
No matter how NetEase tries to reset expectations, there will be a lot of disappointment in Marvel Rivals’ future.
As has been the case before, you can expect NetEase and the MCU to partner up in some way or another for the launch of the movie, and fans are hoping it will be via the classic suits we see the four wearing in the trailer.
That Would Be Fantastic
As you may already know, The Fantastic Four: First Steps is sort of a period piece, set on an alternate Earth with a retro-futuristic ’60s setting. So, it’s only fitting that the team would wear their classic comic book suits that you may have also seen in ’90s cartoons. Marvel Rivals fans think they should definitely be added to the game, as shown by a post on the game’s subreddit.
This has already happened with Captain America: Brave New World, although fans would only get a “mystery costume” if they bought tickets for the movie. Spider-Man 2’s Advanced Suit 2.0 also came to Marvel Rivals as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 celebrated its PC launch. While the collaboration almost seems obvious, fans are worried they may have to buy tickets for the movie or pay for it in-game.
“This is a given, however I wonder if any of their costumes/recolor will be available as a package deal with the ticket sales like the unrevealed and alleged red hulk skin,” said one comment.
The suits, while a bit dorky, are a throwback to the classic look of the Fantastic Four which we’ve seen in the older comics. The classic blue and white suits also feature in a number of old cartoons featuring Marvel’s first family.
As for Marvel Rivals player requests, while the community seems pretty happy with the game itself and its content calendar, they hope that the devs will start focusing on newer maps.
