How To Start The Lion’s Crest DLC Quest

Once you’ve managed to start the Lion’s Crest DLC quest, you’ll probably think that it wasn’t that complicated to begin with, but since there’s little to no indication of the starting point, confusion is understandable. First, you’ll have to have progressed through the opening of a game up to the point where you’re free to explore the township of Troskowitz. A good indication that you’ve reached this point, is being able to start the “Wedding Crashers” quest. Provided you’re already at that point in the game, you can start looking for the Lion’s Crest quest’s starting point.

If you check your map, you’ll see an indicator in Troskowitz with a DLC quest marker on it. Following it will lead you to the area’s scribe, who goes by the name of Gaibl. It should be noted that you’ll need a spade to progress through this mission, so make sure that you already have one before starting the Lion’s Crest DLC quest. Talk to Gaibl, and he’ll tell you a story, as well as a riddle that you’ll have to solve to move forward.

What’s The Answer To The First Riddle?

Rather than relying on further map indicators to help you reach your destination, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 opts to let you solve Gaibl’s riddle. Look closely at the buildings in Troskowitz, and you’ll slowly start to find the answers you’re looking for.

  • When the riddle mentions “the crone and maiden”, it refers to the towers in Trosky Castle, which are, conveniently, named the same.
  • When “true midnight” is referenced, it means that you must go north, as it alludes to the position of the number 12 on a clock.
  • After heading north for a while, you’ll come across a rock formation that has a gap in between to let you through. This is what the “two guards of stone” refers to.
  • Finally, you’ll find a chapel in a cave. Inside, you’ll see a stone cross. Interacting with it will allow you to start digging and find the first piece of the Brunswick Armour.

Finding all the pieces will take you a while, but once you complete the set, you’ll quickly discover that it was well worth the effort.
