Even after years since its initial launch, Pokemon Go continues to release new in-game events, temporarily altering the experience for all players. This week they will be debuting the Small Yet Strong Event, a limited-time event featuring different Pokemon that are particularly small.

Pokemon Go: February Raid Guide
With each month comes a change in the Pokemon that appear in Pokemon Go Raids – here’s everything you need to know about January’s Raids.
This event will be available to all players for four days, spanning from Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 10am local time, to Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 8pm local time. In addition to the different Pokemon that will be featured during this event, there will be several Pokemon Go debuts and bonuses; read on for all the information you need to know about it.
Event Bonuses
You will be able to benefit from two different bonuses throughout this event, active during all four days. These two bonuses include:
- Catching Pokemon will provide you with double the XP.
- Higher likelihood of encountering both XXS and XXL Pokemon in the wild.
Event Wild Encounter Pokemon
There will be several event-themed Pokemon appearing in the wild during this event, all of which are especially small. This includes Nymble, having the chance of appearing Shiny in Pokemon Go for the first time.
Below you can find each of these event wild encounter Pokemon.
- Nymble
- Paras
- Natu
- Joltik
- Tynamo
- Flabébé
- Burmy
You will encounter Flabébé with different colored flowers depending on which region you’re playing in.
You will encounter red flowers in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, blue flowers in the Asia-Pacific region, yellow flowers in the Americas, and white and orange flowers in all regions.

Event Eggs
2 km Eggs obtained during the Small Yet Strong Event will hatch specific event-themed Pokemon, replacing those that typically hatch from this type of Egg. Make sure to acquire these limited-time Eggs during this event, giving you the chance of obtaining one of the following six Pokemon.
- Azurill
- Togepi
- Budew
- Chingling
- Espurr
- Dedenne
Event Raid Pokemon
During this event, there will be different Pokemon found in both Five-Star and Mega Raids. Each of these event Raid Pokemon can be found below with the type of Raid they will be found in.

Event Research
Timed Research
You will have the option of completing free Timed Research during this event, requiring you to complete different in-game tasks before the end of the Small Yet Strong Event. Completing these tasks will provide you with different in-game rewards, including XP, Poke Balls, and event-themed Pokemon encounters.
Event Field Research Tasks
Make sure to visit different PokeStops during this event to obtain Event Field Research Tasks. Completing these Field Research Tasks will reward you with encounters with either Nymble or Burmy.
Event Collection Challenge
There will also be a Collection Challenge available to complete during the Small Yet Strong Event. To complete this Collection Challenge, you will need to catch and evolve specific event-themed Pokemon, rewarding you with Stardust and a Nymble encounter.
