One Iconic Rockstar Character Deserves to Make an Appearance in Grand Theft Auto 6
The scope of Grand Theft Auto 6 makes it perfect for cameo appearances from past Rockstar titles, and one character in particular needs to appear.
Multiple social media posts have emerged indicating that there’s a crash in the game that’s exclusive to the Grand Theft Auto Online PC version. The game will be playing normally when an error message pops up claiming that the user’s computer has run out of memory and must be rebooted. However, it’s impacting players with powerful computers that should be more than capable of playing a game as old as GTA Online. Players are reporting that despite playing the game with strong hardware, like Nvidia RTX 40-series or 30-series GPUs, with up to 64GB of RAM, they’re still getting this message. As such, it doesn’t seem like there’s much players can do on their end to mitigate the issue.
GTA Online Crash Could Be a Big Problem
One player’s experience with this crash shows just how devastating it can potentially be. They had just wrapped up the Cayo Perico heist with a friend when the game crashed, leading to them losing all of their progress and rewards. Fellow players have suggested that the fan reach out to Rockstar Games’ customer support, as it is sometimes able to issue an in-game payout when a player has an experience like this. However, players also expressed a general sense of being disgruntled with the game and the company, with some pointing out numerous issues they’ve seen with the PC release of the game over the years.
For now, it’s unclear if GTA Online did something in a recent update that made this bug so common. Unfortunately, Rockstar Games fans who game on PC are already feeling a bit sore since the company hasn’t announced a Grand Theft Auto 6 release for PC. With any luck, Rockstar Games will investigate this issue and release a fix for the GTA Online memory bug in the near future.
