Aurora Gaming’s announcement on the release of their Dota 2 roster has sparked debate regarding the esports org’s decision.
Considering this roster qualified for DreamLeague S25 and even received a direct invite for PGL Wallachia S3, it’s certainly an unexpected news for many Dota 2 fans.

Aurora Gaming Drops Their Dota 2 Line-up
According to Aurora Gaming’s official announcement, they are releasing their one-year old Dota 2 line-up, comprising of:
- Jinn Marrey “Palos” Lamatao
- Abed “Abed” Yusop
- Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong
- Worawit “Q” Mekchai
- Chan “Oli” Chon Kien
Oli, Palos and Lee “SunBhie” Jeong-jae (coach) are now free agents, while Abed, Q and Jabz are available for transfer.
Aurora Gaming’s accomplishments
Despite the saddening departure of these Dota 2 players, the team had accomplished quite a few feet. Notably, they placed seventh at the International 2024, DreamLeague S23 and PGL Wallachia S1, and fifth at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024.

It’s Not Over Aurora Gaming
Following the release of their Dota 2 roster, we can expect Aurora Gaming to announce their upcoming Dota 2 roster for 2025 season as they stated they will remain in the competitive Dota 2 scene.
Many fans are speculating Aurora might be signing the Into The Breach roster that was recently released to the Esports org’s poor financial decision.
If that’s the case, fans have a lot to be excited for at DreamLeague Season 25.
