On Twitter, Warhorse Studios announced that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 had amassed “over a million” players within 24 hours of launch. In comparison, its predecessor took nine days to reach the same milestone following a mixed reception. In other words, the sequel has not only outperformed Kingdom Come: Deliverance in terms of reviews but also in the context of commercial performance so far. This feat looks especially remarkable, keeping in mind that the Deep Silver-published game isn’t currently available on the PlayStation Store in Saudi Arabia, despite the Warhorse Studios co-founder denying rumors of a ban.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Sales Soar Along with its Popularity Across Platforms
It’s worth noting that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is doing significantly well in terms of concurrent player count. On Steam, the single-player title has a peak count of 168,936 players at the time of writing, per SteamDB. This figure is well beyond the peak of 96,069 players achieved by the original on the Valve-owned platform. In addition to that, the game currently also ranks 12th among the top PlayStation games in the US, as seen on the PS Store homepage. Given that the Kingdom Come: Deliverance sequel is also available on Xbox, it’s safe to assume that even more players are logging into the game than the publicly visible metrics show.
As players dive deep into the immersive world of Bohemia, Warhorse Studios devs are already working on Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s future content. In January 2025, they revealed that the historical game is scheduled to get multiple DLCs as well as other free post-launch content.
