Making money in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 isn’t easy. You’ll get some as rewards at the end of some quests, but you’ll have to get some in other ways if you’re planning on renting expensive rooms, buying the best gear, or traveling back and forth between regions. You’ll inevitably have to steal items from NPCs and get rid of them for some money. However, that’s also not simple.

Unlike selling stuff you’ve found or bought, you need to try and sell stolen items in more careful ways. Demanding full price for stolen items simply isn’t going to work. However, there are some ways to maximise your profits if you follow a few steps.
How To Sell Stolen Items To Merchants
Most of the time, merchants will simply refuse to buy anything they know is stolen. They’ll say no and tell you to go away. However, at times, they’ll agree to buy the items, but only for a significantly reduced price. You won’t have much choice other than to accept their offer.
Alternatively, it is possible to trick merchants into buying stolen items at full price by hiding them among a bunch of other legitimate items. If you sell a lot to a merchant, they’re less likely to analyse the validity of each item individually. It’s mostly down to luck, but it’s worth trying whenever you can.
You can try and haggle over the price of stolen items, but merchants are less likely to accept your attempts than they normally are.
How To Sell Stolen Items Via Millers And Fences
There is another way to sell stolen items: moving them via fences. You may have seen a loading screen in the game that says you can look for a fence, and that millers are known for being involved in shady business.
If you’re able to find a fence, you may be able to get a better price for the goods than you would via standard merchants.
However, it doesn’t seem like many millers are actually interested in taking on your stolen goods. Not a single miller we have spoken to has been willing to even talk about being a fence. The miller at Danemark in the Kuttenberg region isn’t willing to talk about it, and there isn’t even a miller to speak to at the mill near Nebakov Fortress in Trosky.
There’s a chance we’ve just not found the NPC we need to speak to, or potentially the feature isn’t working as intended at launch. We’ll keep searching for fences and update this guide with instructions on how to sell stolen items through them should we be able to.
