The world SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada is one ravaged by acid rains that have given rise not only to unique horrors, but also great rewards. In addition to surviving against the relentless environment and mutant Enders that stalk the desolate landscape, you will also have to be strategic about which items and resources you want to carry around. All the while, it helps to keep an eye out for the most profitable opportunities: AO Crystal deposits.

AO Crystals are one of the most valuable resources you can find in the game and will greatly help when it comes to crafting or unlocking expensive weapons, cradle parts, and base upgrades. Though every crystal will have its own degree of purity that awards a higher payout based on percentage, there are three tiers of crystal overall for you to collect.

SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada features a variety of unique weapons for players to make use of, but these are arguably the best of the bunch.

Low-Purity Crystals are marked with a gray color, while Normal/Good AO Crystals will be highlighted green. The highest and best purity crystals will be marked in blue, but these are often reserved for certain deposits.

It is also worth remembering that the purity and value of a crystal deposit can be increased by rainfall. While it is toxic to players’ weather resistance, it will reap the greatest rewards to harvest AO Crystals during rainfall, especially heavier downpours. Additionally, upgrading your AO Excavator can make more valuable deposits accessible, since the initial Excavator will not be strong enough to penetrate all deposits.

Where To Find High Purity Crystals In The Northern Zone

The Northern Zone is the first map players will have access to and is therefore considered the ‘easier’ of the two. Since it is a larger map, it ultimately contains more crystal deposits than the Southern Zone, including those that hold High-Purity Crystals. It is hard to guarantee High-Purity Crystals will spawn from any particular deposit, but some are more reliable than others, especially when excavated during a storm.

The City Ruins contain potential High-Purity deposits, with another located just to the south on Lazulum Lake. The wasteland area between the City Ruins and the Water Intake Facility also houses a further two deposits. The crystals on the outskirts of both the Water Intake Facility and the Agriculture Plant will also occasionally produce High-Purity AO Crystals.

In the Southern Zone, which is generally more dangerous but also contains a lot more high-value resources, the deposits are a bit harder to come by. The Checkpoint area and central Marshlands contain one deposit each, while another is located just to the south of the Decontamination facility.

The final two deposits likely to produce High-Purity crystals are located around the sulfuric pools and volcanic ravines that mark the entrance to the Power Plant and Arsenal areas. While the deposits are generally quite easy to locate, they are often surrounded by stronger Enders, Bandit Drifters, or other players. It will occasionally be possible to obtain High-Purity crystals from other deposits too, but it really depends on how much rainfall they have absorbed and whether or not they have been previously excavated by other players.
