How do you fast travel in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? KCD2’s world is vast and full of dangers. Wandering is an excellent way to get used to your surroundings, get into trouble, and find the most strange of Bohemian residents, and we would encourage you all to explore as much as you can. There may come a time, though, when you just need to get to a place as quickly as possible, and that’s where fast travel comes in.

We loved exploring the world of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 as you can see from our KCD2 review, and tended to walk or use our Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 horse as much as possible. When focusing on side quests, though, fast travel was an efficient way of getting from town to town, and, thankfully, KCD2 approaches it in a way that doesn’t cut out adventuring altogether.

How to fast travel in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To fast travel in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, you first need a fast travel point to go to. These are small blue shields, usually located next to a settlement or major point of interest. To travel to these points, simply double-click on the shield, or click and press ‘E’.

From there, you will see a little figurine of Henry as he moves across the map towards your chosen destination. You’re still open to random events on the road like encountering merchants, bandits, or some of the more strange occurrences. A prompt appears if one of these events occurs and you can then decide what to do by pressing the corresponding key.

If you’re met with an aggressor on the road and choose to run away without interacting, you’ll be shown a percentage chance of escaping. If you fail this check, you’ll enter the game with your foe right in front of you, where you can still attempt to talk your way out of the situation, run away manually, or, of course, fight.

Fast traveling takes in-game time, you’ll still lose energy, and your energy will drop as if you made the journey manually. It’s also worth noting that you cannot fast travel if you’re over-encumbered, so don’t go thinking you can load up with loot and high-tail it back to humanity.

How to unlock Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 fast travel points

To unlock a fast travel point in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, you first need to visit the respective location. An icon will appear in the middle of a screen stating that you have discovered it, and from there, you can fast travel back to it as you please.

It’s worth noting that some locations later on in the story have multiple fast travel points within them, so make sure you’re doing a full tour of the area before you move on – you’ll thank yourself later.

Now that you know how to fast travel in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, you’ll have no trouble zipping across the land, doing people favors, and making a ton of KCD2 money in the process. If you’re struggling in combat, we have guides on the best KCD2 swords and the best KCD2 armor, so you’ll be at your peak if danger strikes.
