However, satiating Henry’s hunger goes beyond just buying and eating food. All food has a period it will stay fresh for. Dried food lasts a while, but fresh meat will go bad quickly. Eating it will help with hunger a little, but you may get food poisoning if you eat the wrong thing.
How To Cure Food Poisoning
The easiest way to cure food poisoning is to use a Digestive Potion. However, you’ll need to get one quickly if your health is low. It’s entirely possible to die as a result of food poisoning in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
Sleeping will help a little, or you can wait for it to wear off if you have the health to waste, but the best thing to do is just try and get a potion that’ll help as soon as you can.
How To Buy And Craft Digestive Potion
The quickest way to get a Digestive Potion is to buy one. You can occasionally find innkeepers at taverns selling them. However, the most reliable place to go is an Apothecary. There’s one in Kuttenberg, in the south of the city, near the Ruthard castle.
You can buy one there for 25-35 Groschen. Then, quickly use it to get rid of the food poisoning.
You can also buy strong versions of potions, which provide additional stat bonuses. The price of the potions will depend on your haggling skills and your reputation with the merchant.
Alternatively, you can craft one. You will have been given the recipe for it right at the start of the game, when you and Hans are saved and you’re introduced to how Alchemy works in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. If you didn’t, you can buy the recipe from an Apothecary for around 200 Groschen. To craft one, you need:
- One Nettle
- Two Thistle
- One Charcoal
Once you have what you need, head to an Alchemy Bench and follow these steps:
- Add the thistle to the cauldron and boil for two turns.
- Grind the nettle and add it to the cauldron.
- Boil for one turn.
- Grind the charcoal and add it to the cauldron. Then pour.
Now, consume the Digestive Potion and be on your way. Crafting the potion will take longer than buying one, so be sure to have enough health to last you the length of the crafting process.
