The Adorned Diamond is a build-defining Unique Jewel in Path of Exile 2, with the ability to double the effects of certain Jewels socketed in the Passive skill tree. If used correctly, it can buff the key stats of a character, making them doubly effective as they would’ve been without it.
As one of the most valuable Uniques in the entire game, obtaining it is not easy. Players can only hope to claim one as their own by defeating one of the pinnacle bosses that stand at the top of the food chain in PoE 2 or trading with other players. Here’s the breakdown.

How to Get The Adorned Diamond in PoE 2
The Adorned Diamond is an exclusive drop from the Trialmaster, the final boss of the Trial of Chaos in Path of Exile 2. Players can find the Trialmaster by completing a Trial of Chaos run using a Level 75-80 Inscribed Ultimatum (10 Trials) and unlocking the door to the final boss fight by placing the Cowardly Fate, Deadly Fate, and Victorious Fate in the lock. This will unlock the arena where players can fight the Trialmaster.
There are five Uniques the Trialmaster can drop. They are:
- Glimpse of Chaos
- Mahuxotl’s Machination
- Hateforge
- Zerphi’s Genesis
- The Adorned
The Trialmaster will always drop one out of these five uniques upon defeat.
How to Get Cowardly Fate, Deadly Fate, and Victorious Fate
The three fates are keys to the Trialmaster boss arena and can be obtained in one of two ways.
- One of the three Fates drops as a reward from the boss fight in the 10th room of the Trial of Chaos. Which Fate you get is random.
- You can buy any of the three Fates from the Currency Exchange by talking to Alva in the Hideout. The price fluctuates.
How Does The Adorned Diamond Work in PoE 2
The Adorned Diamond has only one stat: (0–100)% increased Effect of Jewel Socket Passive Skills containing Corrupted Magic Jewels. The higher the number, the better the effects of this Jewel. At 100%, it doubles the effectiveness of all corrupted Magic Jewels by 2x.
So if a Magic Jewel would normally give ‘4% increased attack speed’, under the influence of a 100% The Adorned, it would give ‘8% increased attack speed’ instead. At its best, it directly doubles the effect of all other corrupted Magic Jewels in the entire Passive skill tree. This allows players to get incredible value out of their Jewels, so much so that it becomes worth it to ignore actual passives on the skill tree and aim towards Jewels sockets instead.
A limitation of The Adorned Diamond is that its effects only apply to corrupted ‘Magic’ Jewels. Magic Jewels are the ones that have a blue outline and two modifiers. Corrupted Magic Jewels can have as many as three modifiers (if the Vaal Orb adds an implicit), but otherwise, they will only have two modifiers.
Since The Adorned is Unique and not Magic, its effect does not apply to itself.
Rare Jewels (3-4 Modifiers) and Unique Jewels ( Against the Darkness
, Megalomaniac
, etc.) are not buffed from the effects of The Adorned Diamond. This prevents this Unique from breaking the game’s balance completely.
Since The Adorned Diamond itself is corrupted at spawn, players cannot use a Vaal Orb or a Divine Orb to reroll its modifier.
