Scattered around the map, you’ll spot grey shield icons that have a blue exclamation mark inside. If you head there, you’ll find an NPC you can speak to.

The most reliable place to find quest tipsters is at taverns. The innkeeper there is normally a quest tipster you can speak to.

Once you find them, you can ask them what the latest news in the area is or if they have anything to tell you. If they know of anything you can help with, they’ll explain and a side quest icon will be added to your map. However, to start the side quest, you have to actually go to the location of that icon.

The icons for side quests are a little different. They are the same grey symbols, but with a yellow star like symbol inside of it. You need to head to them to start the quests.

Once you speak to the NPC there, you’ll start the side quest and it will be added to your journal. You can either complete it now if it is time-sensitive, or leave it for later.

You can only track a maximum of three side quests at a time. The others will show as grey, but will remain in your journal. They’ll only disappear if they’re time-limited and you miss the window or if you complete them.
