The Sims is a game that lets you have a second life, and life is meaningless without a hobby of some sort. Various skills can be mastered by a single Sim in the game, which helps them get a career boost as well.
Like all skills, one needs to learn them to improve themselves steadily. While there are many skills to learn in the game, this guide will take a look at creativity skills in The Sims.
What Is Creativity Skill Used For?
Creativity is an important skill that is required for many career choices. The following is a list of career choices a creative Sim can benefit from:
- Music
- X-Treme
- Paranormal
- Politics
- Life of Crime
- Journalism
- Hacker
Creative careers like Music and Painting benefit from this skill the most. If a Sim has a high level of creative skill, they are likelier to find fame or make more profit. Whereas for other career choices like Politics, Journalism, and others, creative Sim is only a criterion to be checked.
Interact with Sims’ hobby interests frequently, so that their creativity increases over time. Maxing out the skill will make your Sim a top candidate in almost all supported jobs. Eventually, this leads your Sim into a better life than ever before. Additionally, progressing your creativity skills through items also improves the Fun Need.
Do not spam your sim into learning creative skills as their other needs deplete over time. Keep a balance between work and rest, or else you Sim might get depressed.
If you wish to track your Sim creative skill points, you can open the Job section (man behind desk icon) of a selected Sim. As for interests, they can be found under the Interests tab (chat bubble icon).
How Do You Get Creative Skill Points?
To build a Sim’s creativity skills, you’ll need to have an item that enhances their creative skills. Here’s a short list of items that should help:
- Easel (Available for 250 Simoleons)
- Guitar (Available for 480 Simoleons)
- Piano (Available for 3500, 4481, 5399, and 6199 Simoleons)
Creative skills can be learned by all kinds of sims, be it a child or an adult. If you create a young sim, you can start developing their creative skills early.
If you don’t know where to get the items, follow the steps below:
- Open the Buy Mode by pressing F2 or clicking on furniture the icon on the bottom left.
- In the Buy Menu look for the Miscellaneous button (triangle made out of three dots) and click on it.
- In the Miscellaneous menu, click on the Piano icon to get creativity-related items. Buy one and place it on your lot.
Make use of getting an item that aligns with your Sims’ interest as it will help them progress their creativity skill faster. For instance, if a Sim is highly interested in music, getting a guitar or piano would do wonders.
