There are some Siege characters who are designed to be beginner-friendly and easy to use, giving new players an easygoing experience as they learn the core mechanics and systems of the game. Brava

While Brava possesses a powerful assault rifle and a nice assortment of equipment, her gadget, while incredibly useful, can be very difficult to use for those new to the game. The way it works is, that Brava can send in her drone to hack the enemy’s gadgets, including traps. For one, being able to sneak the drone in and out of sight can already be hard enough, especially since the hacking process will take a couple of seconds to finish.

Additionally, since her drones only get so many hacks, it means players ideally need to understand what gadgets are most worth tapping into, which makes her much more useful when controlled by someone who has had plenty of experience with the game. Brava may be hard to get the hang of, but her drone can cause some real chaos when players can use it to turn the enemy’s devices against them.

Alibi

Alibi’s gadget is simple; it allows her to throw out a decoy of herself which will ping any enemies who fire at it. The problem though is that, due to having been in the game for many years by this point, the majority of Siege players have mentally trained themselves to never fire at a target who is standing still and wearing Alibi’s clothes.

If traps are placed in the right spots, there is no need to win a gunfight!

This means placing a decoy on a door or peeking from a window is no longer enough to fool enemy targets, meaning players need to get creative to have any real impact on a match. She can be a lot easier to use for players with great map knowledge who know the most common sight lines that can be blocked by throwing down her decoys.

Caveira

Caveira’s Interrogation Ability Can Be A Game Changer, But Pulling It Off Isn’t Easy

Caveira is a deadly assassin whose gadget allows her to conceal the sound of her footsteps so she can lurk around the attackers without them ever suspecting a thing. The catch is that, when using this ability, Caveira can only use her silenced pistol, which is only really effective when aiming at the head. In a game where rounds move by so quickly and every bullet counts, being able to line up the perfect shot with a gun that can only use iron sights is far from an easy task.

If Caveira does manage to down an enemy with her handgun, she can interrogate them to reveal the positions of everyone on the enemy team. Again though, this is much easier said than done considering the interrogation takes a few seconds, so performing it out in the open can leave Caveira to be a sitting duck. She can single-handedly save a round for her team when in the right hands, but Caveira is certainly not an easy operator to pick up.

Nokk

A Stealthy Attacker Who Can’t Rely On Her Teammates For Help

Some defensive operators in Siege are known as ‘roamers’, meaning they will roam around the map on their own in order to catch attackers off guard. Nokk is essentially the attacker version of this archetype who uses her HEL gadget to make her invisible to enemy cameras as she makes her way to the site.

In order to make the most of her ability though, Nokk needs to be a solo act, which means the player controlling her needs to be on their A-game at all times, since they won’t have any teammates to back them up. Her FMG-9 also forces her to get up close and personal to deal any real damage, making her a very risky pick, but one who can become a real thorn in the enemy team’s side when used by an experienced player.

Vigil

Vigil Requires A Lot Of Skill To Have Any Impact On A Match

Vigil is a defender who excels at sneaking around in the shadows and taking out any unsuspecting attackers that he manages to get the drop on. The truth is, though, he’s an operator who relies heavily on the player knowing a map like the back of their hand, and who also has great sensory awareness to be able to hear where the enemy currently is during a match.

His gadget, the ERC-7, allows Vigil to remain invisible from enemy drones, though only for a few seconds, making it difficult to determine when it should be flipped on or off to save battery. Players are advised to play through every map at least a few times before taking Vigil out for a spin.

Solis

The More Solis Is Nerfed, The Harder She Is To Use

Solis’ gadget, the Electro-Sensor, allows the defender to spot enemy devices, such as drones and breach charges, through walls. This can make it easy to know from what direction the enemy team is coming at the beginning of a match, but in order to scale back its power, Ubisoft made it so she can only use the device now and again throughout the match, and not during the prep phase.

Until you’ve played for a while, it’s hard to tell which weapons are the best in Rainbow Six Siege. These are the most powerful ones in the game.

It can be all too easy to jump in as Solas for the first time and simply look around the screen to try and find any nearby devices, only to waste time while the rest of the team gets gunned down. Knowing when to switch between Solis’ visor and normal vision can take a lot of practice, and her recoil-heavy P90, while powerful, doesn’t make her any easier to play.

Azami

Though She Can Be Game-Breaking, Azami Takes A Lot Of Practice To Use Properly

When Azami first arrived during year 7 of Siege, she was hailed as being one of the biggest game-changers the shooter had seen in a long time. Her Kiba Barrier, known commonly as a “pancake” by much of the community, is a kunai that will turn into a large circular barricade that can cover any windows or walls that are nearby.

The Kiba Barriers can block off sight lines, cover hatches, and slow down breach attempts by the attackers. However, being able to use it in these ways requires a good amount of map knowledge, considering that throwing them out randomly will simply make them ineffective. Because Azami will usually be throwing these barriers out in the middle of a gunfight, she’s also best used by players who are masters at keeping their cool when the bullets start flying.

Mira

One Wrong Mirror Placement Can Cost An Entire Round

Mira’s gadget is one that can easily cost her team the round if it is used incorrectly. Mira is able to attach one-way mirrors to walls, allowing her team to see enemies as they approach. However, these mirrors contain small extinguishers which, once shot, will break the mirror’s glass, turning it into an easy sight line for the enemy to take advantage of.

Simply put, Mira players have a lot to manage during any given round. They need to know exactly where to place their mirrors, they need to protect said mirrors from being destroyed by gadgets and drones, and they also need to watch out for nearby enemies. Mira’s Vector also has a very unpredictable recoil pattern which only adds to her overall difficulty.
