Quick Links
After completing the initial trio of CIC missions in Synduality: Echo of Ada, you unlock a new series of location – the Amasia Outer Rim. These investigations work much the same as the previous ones, though with a greater emphasis on Enders and a welcome change of scenery.

Synduality: Echo Of Ada – How To Unlock Single-Player Missions
Synduality is mainly a shared experience, though there are some unique single-player missions you can unlock, too.
The first of these locations is the Old Amasia Grand Bridge, the entrance to the city of Amasia itself. This mission introduces the first proper boss of the game, as well as a series of challenging platforming segments that can lead to instant death. Keep your wits about you, and let’s find those surveillance logs.
Where To Find Every Surveillance Log
There are five surveillance logs to find in the Old Amasia Grand bridge, and they are graciously all found in fairly linear order. Here’s each of them.
Surveillance Log #1
After your first encounter with the Giant Gazer, cross the bridge and head to its south end, then drop a level below. There will be some crawlers guarding the container it’s in.
Surveillance Log #2
After the short battle with the Giant Gazer by a series of containers, cross the bridge again and head lower. Turn around and excavate through the wall ahead to find the log in the container.
Surveillance Log #3
Further on, you will reach a point where you must cross to the right. Take the earlier left path first to the smaller section with multiple containers. The one closer to the edge will hold the log. The Giant Gazer will appear to attack you here, so be on guard.
The container behind the large storage container holds a grenade launcher. Make sure to pick this up.
Surveillance Log #4
After defeating the Giant Gazer, the bridge will connect, opening up a left and right path ahead. Take the left path to find this log.
Surveillance Log #5
After collecting the fourth log, head back to the boss arena and take the right path this time. This log is the fifth and final one, and the only mandatory one. It will also contain a lost Magus. Pick up both to complete the mission.
Critical Path Through The Mission
Reaching The End
The Old Amasia Grand Bridge is a fairly linear mission, though this time around the mission is filled with Enders, with not a single bandit in sight. This is much easier, and the level itself is quite short as well.
As you move forward, you’ll gun down a few Chasers before a Giant Gazer appears. This Gazer will appear multiple times throughout the mission, and you’ll have to deal enough damage to them before they’ll move forward. They’re just like a regular Gazer, so shoot them in the eye for the most damage.
The Old Amasia Grand Bridge has you constantly jumping between the left and right sections of the bridge to move forward, and this makes it very easy to fall to your death. Try to keep an eye on the flooring beneath you at all times to avoid falling into a hole, and keep your HP high in case of any accidental falls. You don’t want to have to start over.
There aren’t many oddities in this mission. Make sure you’re picking up every powerful ranged item that you can along the way, as you’ll need it in the final boss fight. The Grenade Launcher by the third surveillance log is of particular benefit. You can ignore any mines or thrown grenades as they’re very hard to hit the Giant Gazer with.
After the boss is beaten, you can simply proceed across the right bridge to pick up the mandatory log and Magus to complete the mission.
Battling The Giant Gazer
Once you jump on the final set of containers over the wall by the end of the mission, you will enter into what is very clearly a boss arena. The Giant Gazer shows up once again, this time for their final confrontation with you. They will mostly fight the same as before, though with some new moves. Let’s check out their moves quickly:
- Rapid Fire Orbs – The Giant Gazer will fire a stream of powerful orbs at you. The best way to avoid this is to dash away. Try to keep your weight low so you can dash for longer.
- Homing Orbs – The Giant Gazer will fire three yellow orbs that slowly close in on you. This can be destroyed with a single bullet, so do so while firing at the boss as well.
- Laser Beam – The Giant Gazer will move close to the floor of the arena and fire a laser beam before sweeping the arena. Simply jump over this.
After each attack, the Giant Gazer will pause for a few seconds to recharge. This is your opportunity to attack them. The Grenade Launcher does astounding damage here, though any weapon will do.
Try to use the containers for cover where you can. While they will only survive a few hits, they drop ammo and Repair Kits when they’re destroyed that will be massively helpful. You don’t keep anything from these missions, so always use everything you get.
After the Giant Gazer is finally downed for good, the bridge will be connected so you can finish the mission.
