The Hardest Bronze Trophies You Can Get On PlayStation

The Hardest Bronze Trophies You Can Get On PlayStation

All of the hardest trophies on a trophy list should, in theory, be gold or silver, at the very least. However, it’s especially frustrating when one of the hardest trophies in the game is just a poor bronze trophy. Sometimes, this is due to time commitment, as the longer trophies typically are the ones to receive higher rarities.

22 Of The Hardest Video Game Achievements In History

Sometimes developers pack their games with incredibly difficult achievements that can be a nightmare to unlock. Here are some great examples.

These hard bronze trophies are debatably harder, though, even if they don’t take as long. Another culprit of difficult bronze trophies is DLC ones, as games sometimes list every DLC trophy as a bronze one for no discernable reason. No matter what, you should be getting something better here.

Grand Theft Auto 4: Gold Star

All Levels 100 Percent For Bronze?

When you look at the trophy list for Grand Theft Auto 4, many will say the hardest bronze trophy is Fly The Co-op. That multiplayer trophy is extremely difficult, but there’s another one way more insulting to trophy hunters. In what must have been a design oversight, every DLC trophy in GTA4 is a bronze one, which makes the Gold Star trophy outright baffling.

To get Gold Star, you must obtain a 100 percent score in all 26 missions in The Ballad of Gay Tony. That’s right, all gold medals throughout the entire campaign. It’s both time-consuming and incredibly difficult, and with a name like Gold Star, why isn’t the trophy gold? You’re essentially S-ranking every level and all for a bronze trophy. Rockstar wasn’t thinking right.

InFamous: Rockhound

Searching Every Nook And Cranny

Collectibles are in nearly every PlayStation exclusive, and usually, getting them all results in a silver trophy, at the very least. InFamous 1 didn’t get the memo. There are a total of 350 Blast Shards found throughout Empire City. They’re not marked on the map, and the only way to discover them in-game without a guide is to find them on your own or click L3 to spot them on the minimap.

The problem is there will always be one or two Shards that won’t appear on the minimap due to a bug, and they’re different for every player. Finding them all can be an absolute nightmare, and a bronze trophy for all this is just wrong.

Mortal Kombat 9: You Found Me!

The Hardest Secret Boss In The Series

Secret bosses are a staple of Mortal Kombat, with the original having the first secret boss ever in the genre. All four secret boss fights in MK9 earn you only a bronze trophy, but there’s one significantly harder than all the rest. That boss is Jade.

6 Best Crossover Fighting Games, Ranked

Crossover Fighting Games, or Versus Fighting Games, are some of the best in the genre, but which ones are the best?

To fight Jade, you must perform three fatalities, get three flawless victories, and not lose a game by the time you beat Shang Tsung. There’s one extra step: you must beat Shang Tsung with a double flawless victory, which is actually the hardest part because even in Beginner mode, he ain’t no cakewalk, and losing that double flawless means starting all over again.

Trials Fusion: Anger Management

Four Entire Circles Of Hell

Trials Fusion is already a brutally difficult game to 100 percent, including the DLC trophies. One of the hardest in the trophy list has to be Anger Management from the Fire in the Deep DLC. To get this, you must reach the fifth circle of hell in the Circles of Hell skill game, with a trophy-winning run taking about five minutes. Any low to mid-range player will badly struggle here.

You must go fast to ensure your bike doesn’t burn up in flames, but certain obstacles can be very tricky. Some are blatant traps that will always get you on your first attempt. Trials experts won’t have too much trouble, but anyone else looking for a full 100 percent will be here for a while. To add insult to injury, it’s only a bronze trophy.

4

Dead Rising: Transmissionary

Any Guide Required Trophy That Spans The Whole Game Shouldn’t Be Bronze

One of the rarest trophies in Dead Rising 1 is Transmissionary, and for good reason. You’ll need to answer all the calls from Otis, and despite sounding simple, it will require a guide. This is mainly due to the fact that there’s an eight-survivor cap, meaning additional side missions won’t trigger if you have the maximum.

Most players won’t save or kill everyone on their first run, so it’s highly unlikely you’ll get this. To boot, certain survivors must be rescued for later missions, plus being inside an area the moment a mission’s supposed to spawn will result in it not appearing. If you wait too long inside, the survivors won’t ever show up. For a collectible trophy that requires the whole game, it’s an insult to receive only bronze.

3

The Talos Principle: Hedging My Bets

A Trophy You Would Never Think To Do

After the opening levels of The Talos Principle, you’ll come across a humongous tower. However, the god-like voice in the title demands that you not enter it. Most will explore it anyway, either right then or sometime later. To unlock the Hedging My Bets trophy, you must collect all 49 red sigils, then head to the tower for the first time, as the god-like voice will instruct you to do so.

This process takes up two-thirds of the game. Who isn’t going to explore this place for that long? What’s even worse is that everyone who misses this during their first playthrough must replay nearly the entire game again to get this one bronze trophy. No trophy hunter is going to find that fun.

2

Red Dead Redemption 2: Zoologist

Never Has A Moose Been Harder To Find

One of the hardest trophies in Red Dead Redemption 2 is Zoologist, which requires you to study every animal in the game minus ones exclusive to Guarma. Finding some of these animals can make you pull your hair out, even with a guide. Often, they just won’t spawn at all, with the trickiest being the Western Bull Moose.

Most of the possible spawns for that animal are unreliable, and you might have to resort to an out-of-bounds area to study and skin it. You’ll spend countless hours finding every animal in the game, which is why it’s absolutely ludicrous that Rockstar only gives you a bronze trophy.

Alan Wake Remastered: No Punctuation

Bronze For A No Death Run?

Like Grand Theft Auto 4, all DLC trophies in Alan Wake Remastered are bronze ones, which is ridiculous considering there are two no-death run trophies. You must complete both The Signal and Writer DLCs without dying or restarting a checkpoint for the full 100 percent.

The Writer proves to be harder with its tougher enemy encounters and wacky platforming that can lead to a swift death if you’re not careful. Getting stun-locked to death is also a real concern since you’re likely speedrunning through the DLC to save time and ammo. With a run time nearing 45 minutes, it’s gut-wrenching to die at the very end and have to start all the way back.
