A Red Dead Redemption 2 player has been left with immediate regret in a hilarious clip posted online in which they attempted to take a quick shortcut, which went horribly wrong. This Red Dead Redemption 2 clip is a good example of why, sometimes, the longer route may actually be quicker on some occasions.
In Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar offers players an unparalleled level of freedom to explore the world and do as they wish. Over the years, this versatile sandbox has resulted in tons of hilarious Red Dead Redemption 2 deaths and fails, which were not necessarily planned by the developer. This is part of the reason why the game remains so popular after over six years, though. There’s always that feeling that a new experience could happen at any moment, which keeps gamers hooked.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Player Points Out Big Missed Opportunity
A Red Dead Redemption 2 player online shares a big missed opportunity that the game failed to pursue.
Redditor NukaColaAddict1302 shared the funny Red Dead Redemption 2 clip, which begins with them attempting to take a shortcut to a mission across a train track. It isn’t difficult to imagine what happens next – the tracks are on an isolated bridge, and they’re quickly met with a train heading the opposite way. They only notice the train once it’s too late, knocking them off their horse and straight onto the tracks. For a moment, it seems as though the player may actually survive by landing to the side of the train, but it bumps Arthur a few too many times, eventually killing him in an unfortunate set of circumstances.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Player Meets Unfortunate End After Attempting Train Tracks Shortcut
One user in the thread pointed out that the smoke from the train is visible from a distance in the clip, but NukaColaAddict1302 confirmed they “tunnel visioned HARD as soon as I hit the tracks.” There was some good news to come out of this affair, though. After being hit by the train, their Red Dead Redemption 2 horse was toppled over the edge of the track. This allowed it to avoid any further hits, and thankfully, it survived with “just a tiny bit of health left.”
It’s a good thing that Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to create memorable moments for players, since a third entry into the series seems to be so far away at the moment. Understandably, Rockstar is focusing on finishing up work on Grand Theft Auto 6, but this has seemingly come at the cost of a timeline Red Dead Redemption 2 sequel. Just recently, Red Dead Redemption 2 broke its Steam player count record over six years after launch, and it’s difficult to imagine that a game with this kind of longevity won’t eventually get a sequel.
