It’s not every day you can get a bona fide game of the year for absolute peanuts. Even by Fanatical’s standards, the Winter Superstars Collection is an embarrassment of riches, offering Deathloop, Fallout 76, Dying Light, and plenty more in a custom package for the grand total of $28.
Starting with the obvious highlights, Deathloop is one of the best FPS games ever. You’re an assassin with 24 hours to take out a particular set of targets, all while being hunted. Failure resets the day and puts you back at square one. We named it game of the year in 2021, and any chance to get it cheap is one that’s worth embracing with open arms.
In another lane of first-person offerings is Dying Light, one of the best zombie games going. It’s quite different to Deathloop, in that you’re on the run most of the time, doing as much as you can during the day when the living dead are slow and useless, because when night falls, they become a tyrannical plague.
If you already have those, or aren’t too fussed, then the likes of Death Stranding and Fallout 76 should convince you. The former is Hideo Kojima’s latest release, an expansive, ambitious survival game starring Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead fame. It’s well worth playing before the Death Stranding 2 release date arrives. The latter is an MMORPG set in the Fallout universe. Fallout 76 has had its ups and downs, but for $7 / £7 it’s more than worth it.
In order to get any of the games in this deal at that price, you need to pick at least four games from the Winter Superstars Collection, for a combined value of $27.99 / £27.99. Other games to choose from include:
- Endzone – A World Apart
- Forgive Me Father 2
- Chernobylite
- Railway Empire
- Cartel Tycoon
The Fanatical Winter Superstars Collection is available until Tuesday, February 11. So, if you’re thinking about it, you have a small window to make your mind up.
