Deadly Dudes is a zombie survival strategy title by NetEase Games. The story takes place in a world where zombies have taken control of everything, and some fierce fighters are left to defeat them. The game will require completing quite some stages before it takes you to the world map. So, I decided to make a guide for you to help you clear the initial stages and also give you an idea of how things are going to be in the later part of the game. So, here’s our beginners guide for Deadly Dudes. Meanwhile, if you are starting with Deadly Dudes, you can also check out some Redeem Codes for some starting in-game bonuses.

Deadly Dudes Gameplay Basics

Deadly Dudes may look like a simple game but it has tons of surprises. To help you out, here’s our beginners guide.

Gameplay Overview

The home page of the game has several buildings and rooms which serve different purposes. Command Hall is your center of activities and controls everything. Armory is where you can upgrade and unlock new guns. Each upgrade will also increase the relevant hero’s power. The Bar is used to summon or draw heroes. Construction Dept helps to upgrade faster. Each character in the dept has different abilities.

The Warehouse is like your in-game currency earning mine. As your heroes keep fighting the zombies to save your hideout, the warehouse will gather everything that is received as collectibles. So, even if you stay idle in-game, you will receive inventory items. The world map will unlock after some stages. You can find more missions and attack others as well.

Besides, there is an alliance system after stage 31. The hero degradation system is in the bottom right corner where you can see your heroes and upgrade their skills. There are three classes of heroes with three roles. Make sure to upgrade each of these departments accordingly and synchronize them. For example, the Bar won’t be upgraded to level 4 if the Command Hall is not in Level 4.

Check the Attribute bar in each Squad

When choosing a team, there’s an attribute meter on the top right. It shows the balance and power of your squad. Depending on the heroes you choose and the diversity in their classes, the bar will show how effective the squad will be.

So, let the game choose for you at first to make sure that your heroes have enough combined strength and you can clear off another stage. Sometimes, the progress bar will not fill with the auto system. Based on the mission, make sure to add necessary changes.

Use the Auto Hero pickup system

Auto hero pickup system is a great feature to help beginners like you. I also used it to fight with maximum efficiency. As you select heroes, the overall power of your squad will be shown on a top banner. But by using the auto hero pickup system, the game will automatically give you the best formation.

And yes, it will also ensure that your attribute is selected most efficiently. For example, if the attribute bar is not a complete event after you use the auto system, it might be because you do not have enough heroes or the heroes are not upgraded.

Keep a balance among the Upgrades

The game has several things that need to be upgraded. Like the heroes, the buildings need to be upgraded to increase the overall strength of your team. I already mentioned it but now saying it again as it is an important thing to do first. Keep a balance among the upgrades so that everything works in a coordinated way.

For example, you may have an overpowered hero who deals high damage but as a front-runner, the damage-taking ability is bad. So, make sure your hero is capable of fitting into each role. Similarly, the buildings are your key to growth and will save you from other players when you enter the world map. Thus, make sure the defense and offense capabilities are at a level.

Join Events to receive exclusive rewards

The game often brings events so that you can join them and earn some extra rewards. Believe me, these events are very helpful and crucial for your progression.

Events can focus on any specific heroes, or any class to showcase their power. Based on your available strength and power, you can join these events. Besides, there are other events like Challenge Zombie Boss, Political House Scramble, etc.

Join an Alliance

The title’s clan system is called Alliance. After clearing stage 31, you will be eligible to join an alliance. It will help you to share items, join wars, share techs, and several other things.

As you’ll receive help and war bonuses, these will make your progress faster. So, do make sure to complete stage 31 and join one alliance as soon as possible.

Deadly Dudes Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks

Here are a few tips and tricks that helped me while playing the game and are certain to help you as well:

  • The auto-battle system in each fight will come in handy if you do not have time to play the game but need to keep up your daily progress. It will unlock as you reach stage 31. However, you’ll get a pretty good idea before reaching stage 31.
  • Make sure to increase the skills of your front-runner. The heroes you choose in a squad to fight against the zombies will have a front-runner character who’ll go first and engage before anyone else. So, that character will take the most damage. This is why you need to locate your front-runner and upgrade him.

  • When you start the game from the beginning, do not forget to get the free items by using a redeem code, collect 7-day rewards, or even join the survey to earn something for free. These items will help you progress faster.
  • Focus on chapter missions and main quests. Besides, make sure to upgrade the SSR heroes.

Final Thoughts

At first, the game looks simple, and nothing much going on. But it will keep giving you surprises as you play through. There are tons of things to take care of and utilize every item in-game. The features that it offers make it an additive and time-killing title. As you read our Deadly Dudes beginners guide, I hope it will help you to progress faster and compete with the others efficiently. Keep battling the zombies!
