Summary
- Sniper Elite: Resistance lacks new content, reusing characters like Harry Hawker from previous games.
- Players can choose from a variety of weapons to outfit Harry, including the destructive Panzerfaust launcher.
- The game features sniper rifles like the Mosin-Nagant for precision kills and the MAS 44 for consecutive shots.
The latest addition to the franchise, Sniper Elite: Resistance, will not offer players anything new that they haven’t experienced before. For example, even the hero, Harry Hawker, has appeared as a character in the main games. Still, there are some World War 2 fans out there who love this series to pieces for one reason or another.

Sniper Elite Resistance: How to Find the Second Safehouse
Players who are looking for the Second Safehouse in Sniper Elite: Resistance’s third mission can find its location detailed here.
One could be the large variety of weapons at the player’s disposal. They will start with a sniper rifle, pistol, and submachine gun, but can unlock more to load up Harry in Sniper Elite: Resistance like he was a one-man army. Weapons can also be obtained on missions temporarily. So, let’s go through the best ones in the game and rank them based on their usefulness for stealth and taking down Nazis.
7
Panzerfaust
Blow Things Up
Sniper Elite: Resistance is a game all about stealth so the last thing players should do is make noise. Sometimes there’s a need to make an explosion though like if players have to blow up an objective or if they want to make a distraction.
Grenades and red barrels can do the job well but there’s nothing quite like the Panzerfaust rocket launcher in the game. These disposable weapons come with one rocket and they’re literally a blast to play with even if, again, they are not good for spies to use on missions.
6
MK1
Mow Nazis Down Without Reloading
The MK1 is another big noisemaker in the game and it comes in handy when players want to mow Nazis down as if they were in the movie Inglorious Basterds. Even though the point of Sniper Elite: Resistance is stealth, it can be fun to play levels like a third-person shooter.

Players must uncover the secret Nazis’ superweapon by searching for clues inside the hotel during Mission 3 in Sniper Elite Resistance.
The standard issue of the MK1 will come loaded with a hundred bullets before players have to change weapons or their magazines. The magazine is located strangely on the top and is a circle similar to most Tommy Gun models. The MK1 is certainly the oddest-looking gun in the game but no one can deny its destructibility.
5
M1895
Become Revolver Ocelot
The M1895 is a revolver and not one that is good for modding. That is to say, it’s not the best pistol to use to take down enemies silently. It’s more like a toy to use when players want to go ballistic in a level and not care about stealth.
They can pretend they are Revolver Ocelot from the Metal Gear Solid series or some other iconic game character who prefers revolvers over other weapons. The stopping power is sufficient for the M1895 but players need to pay attention to their ammo consumption more so than other handguns.
4
Stengun MK2
The Stengun MK2 is somewhere in between a submachine and an assault rifle. Like the MK1, it’s not meant to be a stealthy choice in a level. Also like the MK1, the gun’s design is strange in that the Stengun MK2’s magazine is sideways which does help it stand out and look cool while in use.
It is more compact than the MK1 so players can still use it while they are trying to be sneaky. They just have to make sure they mask the barrel with modded parts or with some sort of suppressed audio like a generator or water source.
3
Star Ruby
A Small But Reliable Handgun
The Star Ruby is the smallest gun in the game and most spies should strive to have their weapons concealed as much as possible. Players will start with the Modele 1935A pistol unlocked which is a fine handgun with a suppressor.
However, the accuracy for the Star Ruby is a lot better and it just feels like a spy’s gun. To make Harry feel more like a spy, this is the gun to unlock and equip in Sniper Elite: Resistance. It may not be as fun to use as the M1895, but war isn’t supposed to be fun.
2
Mosin-Nagant
Zoom In For The Kills
As the name suggests, Sniper Elite: Resistance is primarily supposed to be a sniper-heavy experience besides it being a stealthy one. More so than other weapon types, players are going to find a plethora of sniper rifles in the game. Among the classic models, the Mosin-Nagant is the best choice.

Players can adjust the standard scope by zooming in by six, eight, and twelve. Players have probably used a Mosin-Nagant in a game before be it World War 2 or otherwise so they should feel right at home in Sniper Elite: Resistance.
1
MAS 44
The Most Portable Sniper Rifle
The only downside to the Mosin-Nagant is the cartridge size as players have to load a round after every shot. If players need to pop off several shots in a row, the MAS 44 is better for that. The standard model’s scope only supports a zoom that multiplies the view by three.
It’s not a good sniper rifle to shoot enemies from halfway across the map. However, maps in Sniper Elite: Resistance are huge and players will be constantly on the move anyway which is why a smaller scope is not that big of a deal. From the handling to the cartridge size, the MAS 44 is definitely the weapon to use for avid sniper fans out there.
