Minecraft’s cake texture easily stands out as one of the most iconic cakes in the world of gaming, and one creative fan crafts it up in real life.
Taking to Reddit, a user known as Less_Computer_2908 shared pictures of their replica chest from the game. With cherry and black walnut wood as the primary parts, the fan created the iconic shape and coloration of the Minecraft block. Impressively, the design featured light brown as the primary color and dark brown for the accents, while they even included a silver-colored latch on the front. Not only did the chest look like its in-game counterpart, but it could similarly store additional items, giving it a practical purpose. According to Less_Computer_2908, the replica was slightly over a square foot. In addition, the design featured hinges that allowed the lid to lift upward, like in the game. All said, if the in-game block were to materialize in the real world, it would likely look exactly like this.

Many in the Minecraft community have approved of the chest design, with the post gaining more than 3.6K upvotes so far. In the comments, one Reddit wondered how long the project took to complete, to which Less_Computer_2908 said it required around 20 hours of work spread out over approximately 5 weeks. To finish the build, they said six pieces of cherry wood and 21 pieces of black walnut were needed. Specifically, the developer has released several Snapshot/Beta and Preview updates for Minecraft, allowing players to test out things like new mob variants.
