Dusknoir
Sucking Up Damage Counters
One surprisingly good Psychic card that comes from the Dialga pack is Dusknoir. If you’ve ever had your favorite ex Pokemon get riddled with holes after withstanding a near-fatal attack from your opponent, then don’t sweat it. Dusknoir can help.
It does this by using Shadow Void, which sucks up all the damage counters from your other Pokemon as long as Dusknoir is somewhere on the field. It can also do this for multiple Pokemon in one turn, as long as you do so one by one.

Rampardos
One Massive Headache
Don’t underestimate Fossil Pokemon. Space-Time Smackdown’s Dialga pack gives you access to the Skull Fossil, which will eventually become Rampardos. This Pokemon has a devastating attack that deals 130 damage for only one Energy.

The only downside to using Head Smash is that you take 50 damage if you manage to knock out your opponent’s Pokemon. However, if it helps you get points faster, it’s well worth the risk, especially when the recoil doesn’t put down Rampardos immediately.

Lucario
The Ultimate Fighting Ability
Lucario may not be an ex Pokemon, but its Ability single-handedly makes every other Fighting-type in the game better. While Lucario is on the field, all your Fighting-types automatically get a 20 damage buff each time they attack.
This can turn even Basic Pokemon into nightmares for your opponent. This Ability isn’t just powerful, but it’s flexible as well, since it is active whether Lucario is tucked away in the Bench or fighting in the Active Spot. It also stacks with another Lucario.

Pachirisu Ex
Better Than Pikachu?
Can Pachirisu ex really outshine the biggest meta threat from Genetic Apex? Pachirisu ex is nearly identical to Pikachu ex. Both have 120 HP, a Move that costs two Electric Energy, and a Retreat Cost of one. They are also both Basic ex Pokemon.

So what makes Pachirisu ex so much better? Rather than needing a full Bench to reach its maximum potential, all Pachirisu ex needs is a Pokemon Tool. Once equipped, Sparking Gadget can do 80 damage. It may do ten less than Pikachu, but not relying on Pokemon on the Bench is a major plus.

Darkrai ex
Darkness And Damage
Darkrai ex is one of two Darkness-type ex Pokemon introduced in Space-Time Smackdown. What makes this card so good is that it can deal damage without even being on the field, thanks to its Ability.
Each time you attach a Darkness Energy, you get to deal 20 damage to your opponent’s Active Pokemon. This is useful in so many ways, ranging from getting preemptive damage counters on your opponent or even finishing them off so their next Pokemon takes the full damage from your oncoming attack for the turn.

Giant Cape
A Protective Tool
In the Pokemon TCG Pocket meta, even an additional 20 HP can tilt the balance between victory and defeat. However, there is a significant difference between healing 20 HP and simply having 20 more HP to start with. That’s where Giant Cape comes in.

This Pokemon Tool makes any Pokemon who wears it last just a bit longer. This gives it the chance to survive a Move that would normally knock it out in one turn. As a Pokemon Tool, using this card won’t consume your use of a Supporter, and if your Pokemon manages to live another turn, it can attack once more.

Pokemon Communication
Swapping Out What You Don’t Need
One of the biggest gripes with Evolution strategies is that you can sometimes hit a wall when you get a Stage two Pokemon but need that in-between before you can actually use it. Pokemon Communication is essentially a trade where the brick goes back to the deck, and you get a random Pokemon back.
This trade isn’t reserved for Basic Pokemon. You can get anything back, whether it’s a Basic, Stage one, two, or even an ex Pokemon. If you know how to thin your deck, you can improve your chances of Pokemon Communication working out for you.

Volkner
The Discard Pile At Last
One feature that doesn’t get as much attention in Pokemon TCG Pocket is the use of the discard pile as a resource. Volkner breaks this trend by allowing you to attach two Electric Energy from your discard pile to either an Electivire or a Luxray.

Considering Pokemon TCG Pocket doesn’t have any Energy cards, it was assumed Energy simply disappeared once a card got knocked out. Volkner sets the trend for the mobile game as one of the fastest ways to get back Electric Energy that you’ve generated and lost.

Dawn
Keeping The Energy Moving
What can one Energy do? Most types that have an Energy acceleration method usually stick with their own typing. Most other cards that let you move Energy around have specific restrictions as to which cards can benefit. Not Dawn, though.
Dawn lets you move a single Energy from one Pokemon to another. This creates a two-card combo where one Pokemon can generate the Energy while Dawn moves it to a Pokemon you want attacking. It can also be used as a resource management system where a Pokemon will be knocked out, and you want to make use of its Energy elsewhere before it goes.

Dialga Ex
Strategic And Game Changing
Dialga ex is not only one of the two faces of the Space-Time Smackdown set, but it is incredibly powerful due to its Energy acceleration abilities. Dialga ex just wants to spit out Steel Energy to any Pokemon that stands behind it on the Bench.
With zero restrictions for which Pokemon can use the Energy, this also helps Colorless Pokemon reach new heights. Dialga can also attack with Heavy Impact once you’re done spreading Energy for a decent 100 damage. This is an incredible pull if you get it from the Dialga pack.
