In Destiny Cafe, you can access all unlocked Date types from your Date tab. What Are Dates?

Love And Deepspace: An image of the dating menu, showing all possible date categories.

Dates are interactions you can have with each romance candidate to get to know them better and earn Affinity points. The higher your Affinity points with a character, the more items, stories, and interactions you will unlock.

Each Date type has different levels of interactability, with some Dates — like those unlocked by five-star memories — being complete, playable stories, and others readable short stories.

Playtime

Love And Deepspace: An image of the Playtime menu

Playtime Dates are Dates you can go on with each character in which you play a game or partake in a collection activity. The two types of Playtime Dates you can go on are Kitty Cards and the Claw Machine.

You have three chances to play both Kitty Cards and the Claw machine with each of your love interests per week. After completing each activity, you will earn Affinity points, prizes, and Chocolates to be spent in the Chocolate Shop.

There is a cap on how many Chocolates you can earn per week over all the characters and Playtime Date types. You cannot earn more than 2,400 Chocolates per week through either Date type.

Even though you can only play each activity with each guy three times, you can use special tickets to buy more Date opportunities. However, using Playtime Tickets (Kitty Tickets and Claw Machine Tickets) to add Date opportunities will not increase the number of Chocolates you can earn in a week.

Some events will give you Chocolate as a reward for completing event tasks and stories.

Kitty Cards

Kitty Cards is a card game with two difficulty types: Normal and Advanced.

The rules of Kitty Cards are fairly simple: play Number Cards to fill the board with Kitties. The goal is to have the most valuable Kitties on the board and end the game with more points than your opponent.

After completing a game of Kitty Cards, you’ll earn Chocolates and Meowco tokens. Meowco tokens can be exchanged at the Kitty Counter to open special Kitty Badge packs. Kitty Badges are collectibles you can use as decorations on the ‘With Him’ desk.

Earning Kitty Badges will also count towards each of the guys’ special collections at the desk, and you’ll get rewards for completing the collections.

Every love interest has separate collections and Meowco Tokens.

Additionally, you can play little tricks on your companions during a game and vice versa. For instance, if you beg Zayne, he may give you his cards in normal mode. Sylus will offer to trade cards.

Rafayel will attempt to swap your cards, you can try to grab a second number card from the deck when playing with Caleb, and you can swap Xavier’s cards while he’s sleeping.

Claw Machine

There are four types of Claw Machines for you to play: Standard, Balance, Fun Wheel, and Dynamic.

In all the Claw Machine types, either you or your companion can be the one to play the minigame. You can swap characters at any time, so long as the round hasn’t started yet.

If your partner is the one to play the Claw Machine, tap on his shoulder to cheer him on. This will give him an extra luck boost while playing the machine. He will even ask you which Plushie you want him to go for, and aim for that Plushie.

Sometimes, your partner will refuse a swap. When this happens, you will need to wait for the next round to ask to swap again.

Standard is your typical Claw Machine, but in Fun Wheel, the Plushies in the Claw Machine will rotate around the central drop zone, upping the difficulty level.

In Balance mode, the aim is to use a two-pronged claw to knock a Plushie box into the pit. In Dynamic, the objective is the same, but the Plushie will move back and forth.

Every week there is a different set of Plushies you can earn. After earning one of each Plushie per set, you can unlock Shiny variants of that Plushie. Check your Collections Tab to see how many Plushies you have earned with your partner and what’s left to collect in each series.

Each love interest also has special rare Plushies to discover and unlock.

You can use the Plushies you have collected as decorations on your desk.

As you collect Plushies and play with the Claw Machine, your partner may also use his Evol or special skill to affect the Claw Machine.

Xavier will summon a halo of light around the Claw, Zayne will freeze the Claw to keep plushies from escaping, Rafayel can buy more Claw Machine chances, and Sylus will summon a plushie. We’re still not sure what Caleb can do at the Claw Machine, but we’ll update you as soon as we do.

Photo Studio

Love And Deepspace: An image of the Photo Studio menu

The Photo Studio isn’t as interactive as other Date types, as you won’t be able to learn any new information about or speak to the love interests. However, you can use the poses, outfits, and backgrounds you collect from events and achievements in the Photo Studio to create photos for your in-game album.

You can get more appearance-change items — like clothing, poses, and accessories — through completing achievements, earning them from events, earning them with Affinity Level, or purchasing them through the shop with various currencies.

There are three kinds of photoshoots to complete.

All photos that you choose to save will show up in your Album. You can choose to download Album snapshots to your device, but any snapshots you save will remain in the in-game album until you run out of room.

Wink Snapshot

Love And Deepspace: A four-image photoshoot of the MC and Sylus in Wink Snapshot

Wink Snapshot allows you to take static snapshots of you, your partner, or the two of you together. You can take four photos in Wink Snapshot during a single shoot.

You can change your outfit, add accessories, choose poses, choose backgrounds, and add frames and stickers to your final images.

AR Snapshot

In AR Snapshot, you can put your love interests into real-world environments using your device’s camera. Similarly, you can also take pictures of your love interests with you in the real world. This augmented reality mode can really add to the immersive experience of interacting with the romance options.

Glint Photobooth

Love And Deepspace: The MC and Xavier pose together in Glint Photobooth

Glint Photobooth is the most involved of the Photo Studio modes. Here, you can choose to take full-body images using dynamic, static, duo, or solo poses.

You can customize the background, lighting, and even wind intensity of each image. You can also adjust camera angles, character gaze, and character placement for every pose.

Some outfits aren’t compatible with certain poses. To avoid clipping, keep the compatibility toggle turned on. However, if you’d like to experiment with poses and outfits that may cause some image distortion, you can toggle the compatibility toggle and ignore pose-outfit incompatibility issues.

If you want to capture a character in a dynamic pose, you can pause the pose and manipulate the settings once you’ve found the image you like.

If you want to create more drama in your photos, you can use the pro lighting mode to alter saturation levels, tilt, light color, light intensity, and light direction, and choose between key and fill lights. For even more drama, try adding SFX around your characters. SFX are special particles that will float around your subjects.

Finally, once you’ve taken the perfect photo, you can save it as a template and use it later. You can also share your templates or import templates from a friend. You have two free template slots to use, but you can buy more using 100 Diamonds.

By Your Side

Love And Deepspace: An image of Zayne in the By Your Side Menu

By Your Side Dates are similar to audio books or podcast stories you can listen to. Each one is a brief short story involving the characters.

You can unlock By Your Side stories by pulling four-star memories from the Wish Pool, Silver Galaxy Explorations, or by earning them from events.

Secret Times

Love And Deepspace: An image of Zayne's Secret Times Story, A Long Night

Secret Times are nighttime audio stories that involve no reading. Each one is a combination of ASMR sound effects and dialogue to create an immersive audio experience.

Some Secret Times stories are parts of larger storylines, like character Myths, while others are standalone anecdotes.

Usually, Secret Times and Tender Moments come from four-star memory cards. However, some four-star cards can also be Memoria stories without Kindled moments.

Tender Moments

Similar to Secret Times, Tender Moments are stories you can listen to that are either separate from or part of the main storylines. However, unlike Secret Times stories, you have to be able to read the narration and player dialogue when interacting with Tender Moments.

Only the love interest and NPC dialogue will be voiced. Your character won’t have any spoken lines, so you will need to be able to read your parts if you want to understand the full scope of the story.

You will also have access to a written transcript of the story so you can follow along if you missed something. This is also where you will save your favorite voice lines.

Falling For You

Love And Deepspace: An image of Zayne's Myth screen

Falling For You stories are the most interactive of all the Date types. Here, you can play the interactive stories you earn from Storyline progression, Affinity progression, or by pulling five-star memories from events and Wish Pools.

Five-star memories are Kindled, which means you can play the ‘Kindled’ moment of their Date storyline by selecting the Kindled button in the Memory tab. Kindled moments are brief snapshots of the most interactive or cinematic moments of the full Date.

Four-star memories in the Memoria tab won’t have Kindled moments. Instead, where they would normally have a Kindled moment, they will show the memory’s main image to provide context to the story.

Many of the Falling For You Dates can be replayed to earn one hundred percent completion, meaning you will need to replay the Date at least in part to unlock all dialogue choices and see every permutation of the story’s ending.

Bond

Love And Deepspace: An image of Sylus's Bond screen

Bond stories are Dates that establish your relationship with a character through their main storyline. To unlock Bond stories, you need to increase your Affinity with the characters. Each Bond unlocks at a different Affinity level.

Memoria

Love And Deepspace: An image of Xavier's Memoria screen

Memoria are the Dates that you unlock when receiving a five-star memory.

Some memories are permanent in the Wish Pools and can be drawn by spending Empyrean Wishes, while others are event-specific and only available for a limited amount of time.

You only need to pull one copy of a memory to unlock its Memoria Date.

Myths

Love And Deepspace: An image of Zayne's Tower of Secrets Myth

Myths are pieces of main memory storylines. When you unlock a Myth memory, you unlock a Myth path — similar to an origin story for the love interest’s first meeting with your character or an incarnation of your character, or to continue an ‘off-screen’ moment from the main story.

To play Myths, you need to pull multiple five-star memories and earn Myth Shards. You will get Myth Shards by enhancing a five-star Myth memory through leveling up. Use Bottles of Wishes to level up the five-star Memories so you can hit certain milestones and open gift boxes.

There are several chapters to a myth, and each chapter costs one more Myth Shard than the previous chapter.

You can play the first half of a myth if you have only one half of the Myth Pair, but you can only play the full story if you have both Myth Pair memories.

Anecdotes

Love And Deepspace: An image of Rafayel's Anecdote, A Unique Vermillion

Anecdotes are less interactive than other Date types, but no less informative.

In an Anecdote, you unlock small chapters of written stories. Each character has a few different Anecdote stories to unlock.

You have to have read the previous chapter of an Anecdote before the next chapter becomes available. Reading every chapter of an Anecdote will give you completion rewards.

You can skip to the end of an Anecdote to override the reading requirement and earn the rewards early. To do this, just keep pressing the next button until you land on the final page of the anecdote.

We still recommend reading each anecdote, though, as there is some juicy drama and information to uncover in each one!
