After landing on the Seaside Resort island in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you may notice a weird egg creature in several locations. This is Gudetama, a lazy egg who appears in dozens and dozens of locations throughout Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure: Can You Time Travel
Players could time travel in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, but they might not want to considering the risks. Here is what to know.
Gudetama can be “found” by taking a selfie next to one using the Hello Kitty Island Adventure Camera, granted during the ‘Gudetama Snap’ quest. After ‘Gudetama Snap’ Hello Kitty Island Adventure continues with another Gudetama-themed quest that is only available if you take six pictures of Gudetama locations throughout the game.
‘Gudetama Snap’ Quest Walkthrough
To start the ‘Gudetama Snap’ quest, Hello Kitty Island Adventure fans must first interact with the strange Gudetama sign to the right of the main plaza. This sign will direct you back to Pochacco, who will ask you if you have seen any “little eggs” throughout the islands.
Then, Pochacco will point out a mustachioed Gudetama standing on the steps just behind his work-out spot, near the Plaza Fast Travel point. He asks you to take a picture of it and provides his Camera, beginning the ‘Gudetama Snap’ quest.
Walk up to the Gudetama, equip your Camera with the quick-select wheel, and press the Camera input displayed on the bottom right of the screen. Then, zoom in your view a bit, and take a picture of your character with the Gudetama in-frame.
As long as the Gudetama is in-frame, it will disappear after you take the picture, and a pop-up will confirm that you found a Gudetama. Bring this picture back to Pochacco to complete ‘Gudetama Snap’.
Later on, Pochacco will ask you to continue taking pictures of Gudetama throughout the islands with his Camera. After taking six pictures in total (including the first one for the quest), you can return to Pochacco and pick up ‘The Laziest Egg’.
Though it doesn’t matter which Gudetama you take a picture of, there are a few located very close by that will let you complete this quest requirement quickly.
Gudetama #1: By Pochacco’s Work-Out Spot (Resort Plaza)
- On the steps directly next to Pochacco’s work-out spot in the central Resort Plaza. This is the Gudetama you take a picture of for ‘Gudetama Snap’.
Gudetama #2: Hiding Inside Hello Kitty’s Cafe Street Sign
- One Gudetama location is inside of Hello Kitty’s Cafe sign, poking out of its shell. Hello Kitty’s Cafe is just to the left of the Plaza and My Melody’s shop.

Gudetama #3: Floating On A Tube Beneath A Nearby Waterfall
- This chilled-out Gudetama can be found floating beneath the Waterfall to the top-right of the main Plaza. This is just west of Chococat’s tent and the first Yellow Power Crystal ruin.
Gudetama #4: Under A Bacon Blanket By The Shore
- Head to the far southeast of the shore on the Seaside Resort island to find this cold Gudetama trying to warm up under a bacon blanket on a rock.
Gudetama #5: Twirling His Mustache On A Small Western Island
- Head all the way to the left of the Seaside Resort and jump across the stepping stone-like islands to reach this mischievous, mustachioed Gudetama.
Gudetama #6: About To Be Eaten On A Larger Western Island
- Continue to the west across the tiny island chain to find this distraught Gudetama being lifted out of a bowl of ramen between two trees on a medium-sized island.
