Changing weather conditions is one of the most impressive features of Eternal Strands, which makes the same maps the player had explored earlier quite different with new resources, new enemies, and new challenges.
One of the biggest difficulties the players face as soon as they step into Dredger’s Mire is exploring a freezing cold region on the north of the map, which seems impossible on the first tries, but with the right build and gear, players can indeed go deep into this frozen region and activate the heat generator to get rid of the cold. It’s worth noting that a cold/heat-focused build will not stop the player from taking damage when staying long enough in extreme temperatures, but it will reduce the incoming damage significantly.

There’s a lot of walking to do in Eternal Strands, but the game’s fast travel system should cut that down by a fair bit.
How To Craft Heat Or Cold-Resistant Armor
When you open up the inventory screen, there are a series of indicators on the right side that showcase the overall stats of weapons and armor pieces as well as the protection they grant to the protagonist against cold or heat. So, the goal is to increase cold or heat resistance as much as possible by reforging the equipment.
In order to craft cold or heat resistance gear, players need to look for the Cold/Heat Resist resources in the realms. A variety of Tanned, Forged, and Woven resources come with cold or heat resistance, as indicated in their description. Once collected, take the materials to the base and talk with Sola to reforge your equipment with the new materials. Keep in mind that it’s best to create either cold-focused or heat-focused gear, as taking the middle ground will not benefit you much.
Best Cold Resist And Heat Resist Materials
As the players make progress in the story and unlock new realms, they face new enemies that drop higher-value materials, coming with bigger heat or cold resist effectiveness. So, here is a list of materials with different values to craft cold or heat-resistant gear.
