Listening To The Echoes Of The Past Quest Walkthrough

For this event, you’ll get to meet Du Yubai in Florawish. She’s a musician from the Linlang Empire visiting Wishfield for the first time. However, when you arrive at the wharf, it seems that she’s gone missing.

What follows is a frantic search for the virtuoso south of the Bug Song Hills. Once you find her surrounded by esselings, you’ll need to fight them off. From there, you’ll learn her true purpose for coming to Wishfield and slipping away.

While the story Du Yubai tells you happened over 800 years ago, the descendants of Mark still live in Florawish. You’ll need to search out three people related to one of the Marks that resided in Florawish all those centuries prior. Below are their names and where you’ll find them:

• Monaco, the street sweep. Find him on Lilina Street, sweeping the streets outside the Kingdom Guard Office.
• Fournier, the head chef. Find him inside Ray and Wing’s shop in the center of town.
• Elettra, the architect. Head to the Dream Warehouse Tower.

After speaking with each of the descendants, you’ll meet with Du Yubai atop the Dream Warehouse to release the paper crane and fulfill her wish. Finally, meet back at the White Jade in the wharf to watch Du Yubai’s performance and conclude the quest.

New Bloom Reunion Rewards

In addition to an exclusive questline for the event, there are also smaller quests that pop up for a limited time. They’re separated into New Bloom Chronicles and Fun Encounters, though both offer similar rewards.

New Bloom Chronicles

The New Bloom Chronicles focus on helping with the cultural exchange between Florawish and the crew of the White Jade. Below are the quests and rewards available.

Fun encounters are short excursions for the festival. You can find each of the limited-time objectives below along with the corresponding rewards!

As you complete the Listening to the Echoes of the Past quest, you’ll take several photos to commemorate your time with Du Yubai. You’ll also work with Ginona to take photos for the event period.

How To Play Whim Tangram

For this minigame, you’ll have to arrange seven wooden blocks into various shapes. You have as much time as you need to do this, but it can still be tricky. Thankfully, there are a few tips and tricks to succeeding:

• Start with the biggest blocks. When you get the puzzle, place the largest blocks first. There are only so many places you can put them on the board, and placing them right away can help you visualize where the smaller ones will go.
• Rotate, rotate, rotate. Something doesn’t look right? Rotate the block. There’s a good chance you’ve got it upside down!
• It’s okay to start over. If you’re too frustrated or can’t get the blocks to line up, it’s okay to remove them all from the board and start over. You have unlimited attempts.
• When in doubt, just try it out! Sometimes just putting a block on the board, even if you know it’s in the wrong place, is helpful. It’s a puzzle, which means there’s some trial and error involved. Don’t be afraid to experiment with the blocks.

Highlights Of The New Bloom Festival

In addition to festive quests and outfits, there are a few other highlights worth mentioning. To ring in the New Year, you’ll find firecrackers and lanterns all over the shores of Florawish. We’ve added the details about them below:

How To Use Ground Firecrackers

All around Florawish, you’ll find tiny colorful packets on the ground. When you step on them, they’ll crackle and pop like tiny fireworks.

These loud little firecrackers will respawn regularly, and there’s nothing you need to do to unlock them other than participate in the festival.

How To Use New Bloom Lanterns

Beautiful lanterns decorate the waters of Florawish to celebrate the New Year, and you can purchase additional lanterns to place yourself. Speak with Zhuo Hua at the wharf to purchase up to 1,000 of these gorgeous lotus lanterns for 100 blings a piece.

To use these items, open your backpack and equip them. Then, use the input for your hotbar to enter decorating mode and place the lanterns in the water.

Strings Of Time Rewards

Who doesn’t love a free outfit? By completing different tasks, you can earn points towards unlocking a new outfit with a whimsical ability. It’s completely free, and we’ll show you how to get it done.

As you earn Melodic Harmony, you can unlock new rewards for the Endless Longing outfit. Below are the rewards for completing tasks during the event period:
