Who says you can’t be fashionable when you’re lugging around your top-spec PC? Thanks to an interesting collaboration between a fashion designer and a web browser, you could soon own your very own $2,000 high-end gaming PC carry bag, described as a “handcrafted, XXXXXXL bucket bag” for all of your important kit.

This isn’t an early April fools joke, either. A collaboration between Opera GX and fashion designer Hed Mayner led to the creation of the Prêt-à-Portable collection, of which this bag is part. It might seem mad, but given the size, it looks big enough to fit the best gaming PCs out there with room to spare.

Unveiled at Paris fashion week, the Opera GX x Hed Mayner PC Purse looks very much like an oversized handbag – indeed, this is exactly what the web browsing firm calls it, stating that its large enough to “fit your entire setup” inside, including your PC, monitor, and any peripherals. According to Opera GX, it’s “stylish to sport in any setting” as long as you can “fit it through the door.” We’ll let you be the judge on the first of those statements.

Opera has even released a video showcasing the bag, along with other garments that form part of the collection, with an Estonian rapper wearing the threads. PC gaming and high fashion don’t always meet, but it’s not unprecedented, with PlayStation-branded Balenciaga hoodies costing around $800.

Look, let’s call this what it is – a clever marketing gimmick, but a pretty cool one, and there’s probably a market for a limited run of them to sell. It’s priced right for high fashion, and it’s certainly big enough to actually transport your PC around, but you will have to judge the aesthetics for yourself. If you’ve got the cash to drop $2,000 on a bag like this, then more power to you.

Should you fancy looking “PChic” when you leave for your next LAN party, you might want to pick up the Opera GX x Hed Mayner PC Purse for yourself, along with the rest of the clothes that form the collection. You can’t buy it right now, but you can register your interest over at the Opera GX store page, where the stock is reportedly “coming soon” to buy.

If you’ve got $2,000 to spare and a new bag isn’t on the menu, you might want to think about a similarly-priced bit of gaming kit instead, such as the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090. With the new best graphics card in the world launching yesterday, it’s priced at a relatively sensible (compared to this bag) level of $1,999. However, with stock selling out fast, you’ll need to keep an eye on our where to buy 5090 guide to find stock at normal retail prices.
