One Piece continues to excite the fans and Oda seems to not have taken his foot off the gas for even a single second in the Final Saga so far. Elbaf, in particular, has proven to be absolutely sensational and fans can’t believe how much incredible content they are given to follow week after week. The last few chapters of One Piece have seen one major revelation after another, and now, Oda seems to have dropped an even bigger reveal, this time about a Devil Fruit ability that the fans were eagerly waiting to see in the Elbaf arc.

Shamrock Figarland, Shanks’s twin brother and Garling’s eldest son, has finally had a powerful ability confirmed for him, and it is absolutely mind-blowing, to say the least. Once again, Oda is doing his best to hammer home the fact that Shamrock Figarland is special and that he’ll be a force to be reckoned with in the Elbaf arc.

Devil Fruits are the biggest source of power in the One Piece world, and there is absolutely no denying that fact. These abilities are unique and they offer incredible powers to those who consume them in exchange for their ability to swim. While the power gained by Devil Fruits is immense the trade-off seems big as well since the user cannot swim, especially in an age where sea travel is the norm. Usually, there are no two ways about it. Either one has the ability to swim, or they have a Devil Fruit ability.

However, there are ways to trick the whole power system because, in the world of One Piece, inanimate objects can eat Devil Fruits as well. Shocking as that may be, Vegapunk’s research proved that inanimate objects have the capability to eat Devil Fruits and, at the same time, become animate using them. Fans saw this long ago in One Piece, during the Arabasta Arc for the first time. In this arc, during Usopp’s battle Against Mr. 4 and Miss Merry Christmas, the former gun was revealed to have eaten a Zoan-type Devil Fruit. Since Zoan fruits carry a will of their own, the idea could be that they breathe life into these objects. Exactly what the reason behind this process is remains unknown. Regardless, Mr. 4’s gun consumed the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Daschund, and came to be known as Lassoo.

Later down the line in One Piece, fans saw more such abilities being introduced. For instance, Sapndam, the once head of the CP9, was revealed to have a sword named Funkfreed, which had the power of the Zou Zou no Mi, allowing his sword to turn into an elephant and fighting on his behalf, or alongside him.

Similarly, there are other inanimate objects in One Piece that Oda has shown to have Devil Fruit abilities, and Shamrock’s Sword is one of them. In One Piece chapter 1138, it was officially revealed by Oda that Shamrock’s Sword, which appears to be a saber just like that of Shanks and Garling, carries the ability of the Cerberus Devil Fruit. Undoubtedly, this is bound to be a powerful ability and it explains what makes Shamrock a top-tier fighter.

The Powers Of The Cerberus Devil Fruit — A Mythical Zoan Ability

The Fruit is Likely Inu Inu no Mi, Mythical Model: Cerberus

At some unknown time, Shamrock Figarland’s Sword ended up eating the Inu Inu no Mi, Mythical Model: Cerberus, granting it absolutely immense powers. As fans might be able to tell, this fruit looks like an incredibly overpowered one just by the name. It is a Mythical Zoan, which means that in terms of rarity, it is higher than even Logias in One Piece. As a Mythical Zoan, it also possesses legendary power that is, in many ways, unbelievable to people. The Cerberus itself is a mighty creature the powers of which far surpass human comprehension.

The mythology behind the Cerberus is quite interesting in itself. This creature is from Greek mythology, where it is believed to be the guardian of the gates of the Underworld, or hell itself. This is quite an interesting bit, given that Sabo likened Marijoa to hell itself, and Shamrock now could be its acting Guardian.

As most fans know, Cerberus is a three-headed hound with tremendous ferocity. The Strength of this creature apparently is such of a high order that it can shake the ground just by its force.

Shamrock’s Sword having the power of the Cerberus Fruit certainly opens the doors for exciting stuff in One Piece. As fans know, Shamrock is incredibly strong, and now, on top of his own strength, he has a sentient sword that can attack and defend freely. Shamrock must clearly be so perceptive that even landing a blow on him would be difficult. In terms of attacking prowess, Shamrock’s sword fruit should allow him to do tremendous damage to the enemies, dealing fatal wounds with each attack. His attacks on Loki certainly were there to show for what the sword is capable of, but all that is clearly just the tip of the iceberg.

On top of all this, it is quite easy to see that Shamrock Figarland will have powerful Haki which he can infuse into his sword. This essentially means that the Cerberus that Shamrock wields can be powered up by both Advanced Armament and Supreme King Haki, making it tremendously overpowered. Shamrock himself can fight using his own style alongside his sword too, making him doubly special as a fighter.

Undoubtedly, this idea of Shamrock’s sword having a Devil Fruit is extremely exciting and fans absolutely can’t wait to see where Oda goes with this as the Elbaf arc of the story continues. Since the war in Elbaf is about to break out, Shamrock will have plenty of opportunities to show what he’s truly capable of and how his Cerberus sword will aid him in battle against the likes of Loki, the Giant Warriors, and of course, the Yonko, Straw Hat Luffy, who is most definitely going to be his main opponent this arc.
