We’ve got a full list of pac-man games for anyone looking to give one of the most well known gaming mascot’s series a try! Pac-man has been around for decades, and they’ve tried making different takes on the popular franchise.
List of Pac-man Games
Pac-man has had quite a few entries to the series. Not all of them good, but when they get it right it hits. We’ll go through most of the main titles that we can recommend here, and then a comprehensive list of all Pac-Man titles.
Getting it right the first time.
- Pac-Man (1980) – The original, the classic, the one that comes to mind when you say his name
- Ms. Pac-Man (1982)
- Pac-Man Plus (1982)
- Super Pac-Man (1982)
- Pac & Pal (1983)
- Professor Pac-Man (1983)
- Jr. Pac-Man (1983)
Finally taking a break from reskins and slight gameplay tweaks, we saw Pac-Land in 1984, which was a full on side scrolling platformer. Its iconic in being such a change of pace. It even appeared as a stage in Smash Bros. 1987’s Pac-Mania was a 3d approach to the OG map design does breathe some fresh air into the gameplay and actually does make the game a little more difficult due to not having full view of the arena.
After another longer break we’d start seeing more spinoffs
Trying something new
- Pac-Attack (1993) Was the franchise’s take on Tetris.
- Pac-Man 2: The adventures of Pac-Man (1994) Wasn’t a sequel to the original, but to Pac-Land, with the subtitle giving it away.
- Pac-In-Time (1995) was more of pushing Pac-Man as a walking talking platforming mascot
- Pac-Man: VR (1996) Is a lesser known arcade cabinet based VR title that actually had multiplayer as you team up with other player Pac-Mans to clear the maze.
- Pac-Man World (1999) Pac-Man platforming in 3D
- Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness (2000) Mixes the 3d platforming and traditional Pac-Man gameplay style as she goes full collectathon in more maze-like levels.

- Ms. Pac-Man: Quest for the Golden Maze (2001) traditional pac-man in a 3d lens published for Windows
- Pac-Man All Stars (2002) was an enhanced rerelease collection of the 2000s games.
- Pac-Man Fever (2002) is Mario Party, featuring namco IPs. The goal is to race to the finish rather than collect Stars.
- Pac-Man World 2 (2002) A return to full 3d platforming
- Pac-Man VS (2003) Aysymetrical multiplayer using Gameboy link cables for up to 4 players. 3 controlling the ghosts and the main player playing on the main screen. As a score race to a set score, whichever ghost catches Pac-Man becomes Pac-Man in the next round. It has since been ported to the DS and Switch.
Figuring it out
With the DS being a money printer, the last of the handheld titles would come out for the franchise, and also rounding out the world series with a triology before they figured out that Pac-Mann doesn’t really need to innovate on what they got right at the start
- Pac-Pix (2005) a weird puzzle title where you can draw walls and guide pacman between the 2 screens to eat chickens in order and clear some ghosts in the process to clear pages for levels.
- Pac-Man Pinball Advance (2005)
- Pac ‘n’ Roll (2005) Another weird DS title. 3d map traversal as Pac-Man rolls everywhere using the DS touch screen.
- Pac-Man World 3 (2005) The completion of the Pac-Man World trilogy
- Pac-Man World Rally (2006) Obligatory Kart Racer
- Pac-Man Championship Edition (2007) Faster Paced Pac-Man with game modes
