After entering No Man’s Land in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4, you’ll be constantly pursued by Yarnby, making all the puzzles even harder to complete. Thankfully, there are several hiding places between the walls and inside pipes where you can temporarily catch your breath and wait for Yarnby to go away. You’ll need to adapt a similar strategy while inside one of the facilities in No Man’s Land.

Here’s how you can fulfill the “Power Up Machine Stations via Hand Scanners” objective.

Entering the Facility

First, you must divert power from the main electrical power router into the hand scanner near a locked shutter. Scan your blue hand on the scanner and hide inside the little space next to it to wait for Yarnby to enter the ventilation ducts.

Once the coast is clear, enter the doorway and pull the lever next to the terminal to power up the facility. Now you’ll need to power up three machine stations in this area, and to make things harder, Yarnby will spawn inside the room.

Activating Three Machine Stations

The first machine station is just down the stairs near the power terminal. Quickly head down to the machine station and start scanning your blue hand to activate it. Yarnby will detect you halfway through activating the first machine system, so be ready to hide in the enclosed space to the left. After Yarnby is gone, resume scanning the first machine system until the objective updates and prompts you to activate the rest of the systems.

The second machine station is also on the first floor but on the opposite part of the facility. Head to the northwest part of the facility and you’ll find the system under the stairs. Start scanning the machine system, but move away from the scanner and near the barrels’ hiding place in case Yarnby detects you. Keep an eye on the stairs above you and the ones next to the machine station for Yarnby.

After the second scanner is done, move up the stairs right above the barrels to find the last machine station. While being on top of the stairs, shoot the blue hand onto the scanner from a distance and slowly make your way down the stairs. Wait for the activation to complete, and you’ll be safe for Yarnby as it’ll be attracted towards the machine station itself.

Escaping the Facility and Entering the Next Section

Once all three machine systems are activated, wait for Yarnby to go far away from your position and then quickly run out of the facility. Make sure that the power is diverted to the terminal outside the facility (top right wire) in the electrical router.

The red button in the terminal is now active. Press the button and head towards the main area to route the power to the draw bridge. Now you’ll be able to progress to the next area of Poppy Playtime Chapter 4.
