Hello Kitty Island Adventure: Yellow Power Crystal Locations

After starting Hello Kitty Island Adventure, players will quickly meet every character on the island and pick up a few starter quests. To get to other areas of the island, though, you will need to complete one specific quest for Chococat called ‘Power Up The Gate’.

This quest asks players to find three Yellow Power Crystals. Hello Kitty Island Adventure players must craft a Power Crystal Sensor and find all three Yellow Power Crystal locations to open the gate and progress into the Spooky Swamp – and the rest of the island.

How To Find Power Crystals

To find Power Crystals, you must craft a Power Crystal Sensor. This item will work for every type of Power Crystal in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Yellow Power Crystals included. You will get the recipe for this as you progress the ‘Power Up The Gate’ quest for Chococat.

Crafting a Power Crystal Sensor requires 3x Sticks and 3x Magnets.

Look for Sticks on the ground across the island
Raise your Friendship with Badtz-maru, Tuxedosam, and Pochacco to Level 2 to get Magnets

Equip the Power Crystal Sensor with the item selection wheel (or the shoulder buttons of your controller). The icon will pulse faster as you get closer to a nearby Power Crystal location.

Yellow Power Crystal Location #1: Beginner’s Bridge Puzzle

The Beginner’s Bridge puzzle is found just a few seconds’ walk to the left of Chococat and the Crafting Table. Look for what looks like a set of ruins next to the coast. Chococat should be following you during the ‘Power Up The Gate’ quest – jump on one of the pressure plates, and Chococat should jump onto the other, opening the way inside.

The Beginner’s Bridge puzzle simply requires you to place a block onto a pressure plate to lower a bridge. Walk up to the block, pick it up, and walk over to the pressure plate to power up the bridge.

The bridge will lower, then cross over to the other side and climb the wall to the left to get the first Yellow Power Crystal.

Yellow Power Crystal Location #2: Crystal Conundrum Puzzle

The second Hello Kitty Island Adventure Yellow Power Crystal location is inside another ruin. This one is located in the far west of the main island, on a hill above a chest on the western shore. Climb up the hill, then step on the pressure plate to open the door into the Crystal Conundrum Puzzle.

If Chococat doesn’t follow you up the hill, walk a bit to the right to reset his position.

In this puzzle, go down to the lower level first and take the box up to the middle level where you entered. Place it onto one of the pressure plates by the sealed door, then pick up the other box. This will remove the stairs leading down. Place this box onto the second pressure plate by the sealed door to unlock it and find the second Yellow Power Crystal location.

Yellow Power Crystal Location #3: ‘Building Bridges’ Quest

The last Yellow Power Crystal is found across a broken bridge just to the north of My Melody’s shop in the center of the main island. Walk up to the bridge and interact with the sign to begin the ‘Building Bridges’ quest.

You will be directed to My Melody, who can be found just to the south in her shop. To fix the bridge, My Melody needs 2x Strawberry Crates, which can be found all over the island. Gift her these Crates, then lead her to the bridge.

A cutscene will automatically play and My Melody will repair the bridge to the island to the north. Walk over the bridge and pick up the third Yellow Power Crystal on the shore of this newly unlocked island!
