Summary
- Jedi: Survivor presents tough boss battles, such as Urgost and Mire Terror, challenging players’ skills and abilities in combat.
- Players face formidable enemies like Rayvis and Darth Vader, each with unique strengths and tactics, adding depth to the gameplay.
- The final boss, Bode, forces players to master quick reactions and diverse combat techniques, ending the game on a challenging note.
As a sequel to Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor continues the Dark Souls approach to a galaxy far, far away. This shows particularly strongly when it comes to enemy design. Cal Kestis encounters numerous formidable foes in his struggle against the Empire. None are deadlier, though, than the bosses.

Jedi: Survivor boasts several adversaries who are a cut above the rest. These range from bounty hunters to Sith Lords, meaning they have a wide range of abilities for players to contend with. One thing these enemies have in common, though, is that they all put Cal Kestis’ abilities to the test.
Updated on January 29, 2025, by Gerardo Molina: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor improved on many of the aspects its prequel wasn’t great at, and also managed to implement a few new things of its own to elevate the experience to a whole new level. Just like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has tons of main and mini-bosses that will put players to the test and ensure that they’re ready for the challenges that lie ahead. Some would argue that the bosses in this second installment of the franchise are quicker, deadlier, and much less forgiving when it comes to the mistakes players can make during combat.

The Massiff
An Overpowered MagnaGuard That Posses A Challenge
- Found: In Koboh, on the crashed Lucrehulk
MagnaGuards have been in the Star Wars universe for many years, and while they seem to be formidable enemies, most Jedi can make quick work of them without too much effort. In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, players will have to fight The Massiff, which appears to be a heavily modified MagnaGuard with powerful and quick moves that can sometimes be hard to dodge.
That said, in the grand scheme of things, The Massiff isn’t by any means the most challenging enemy in the game, and can be dealt with rather easily with a moderate amount of skill.

Urgost, Fist Of Rayvis
The Bedlam Raiders’ Strongest Melee Fighter
- Found: In Koboh Observatory during Cal’s fourth visit to Kobo
Urgost is a strong melee fighter who was trained to use the giant electrohammer by Rayvis himself. When Cal reaches the top of Koboh Observatory, he has to face this warrior while also exchanging taunts and verbal jabs throughout the fight.
His hammer hits very hard, but it is also very slow, which gives players a decent window to deal damage to him. Parrying his attacks is also an effective strategy, as the slow rhythm of the electrohammer is easy to predict. Some players, however, have found that Urgost can be killed instantly by using Force Lift and then Force Push to toss him down to the planet’s surface far below the Observatory.

The Mire Terror
Cal Must Fight Two Mogu At Once
- Found: In the Viscid Bog on Koboh
By the time Cal finds the giant named Mogu, he has already taken down many others of its kind. They are large bipedal creatures that are closely related to wampas, the snow creature that nearly killed Luke Skywalker.
The Mire Terror hits harder, stands taller, and has more health than any other mogu on Koboh. The other major factor that makes this fight stand out from the other beasts is that a second Mogu fights with it on the relatively small platform floating in the bog. Dealing with both melee-focused enemies at the same time can be very difficult, so players should use Mind Trick on the smaller mogu to turn the tides of this battle in their favor.

Skriton
A Deadly Beast With Swift Attacks
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, like its prequel, is known for pitting players against insurmountable odds, powerful bosses, and dangerous creatures that inhabit the various planets Cal and his companions visit. Jedha is full of perils, some of which cannot be faced directly and must be avoided by doing parkour through various structures.
One of the most vicious and lethal creatures in Jedha are Skritons, which appear to be massive scorpions with unparalleled rage. Although the Skriton isn’t the most challenging area boss in the game, it can be hard to deal with it due to its fast attacks and the fact that it hits like a truck.

Spawn Of Oggdo
The Notorious Jedi: Fallen Order Boss Returns
- Found: In Fort Kah’lin on Koboh
In Jedi: Fallen Order, many players were frustrated by the difficulty of the giant three-eyed frog boss named Oggdo Bogdo. Those players were likely relieved by the fact that Cal does not return to Bogano, where the beast was found. Much to their chagrin, however, the frog returns as an optional boss in Jedi: Survivor.
Players find the Spawn of Oggdo in Fort Kah’lin, where they can drop into a room and face the oversized amphibian once again. Its unpredictable and deadly attacks make it a dangerous foe, and players should use fast attacks, so they are always prepared to block, parry, or dodge as needed.

The Rancor
One Of The Most Recognizable And Deadly Star Wars Beasts
- Found : In Sodden Grotto on Koboh
Star Wars has always featured interesting monsters, but the most recognizable one of all is the Rancor. Knowing that a Rancor on Tatooine was almost a match for Luke Skywalker, players feel the pressure when they face one of their own in the caverns beneath Koboh.

While its attacks are slow, they deal massive damage. It can even grab Cal and kill him instantly, and players will need to learn the animation for this move quickly, so they can avoid it all costs. Its thick, scaly body also absorbs damage, making this fight a long one. Avoiding its attacks and whittling away at its health is certainly a challenge worthy of a Jedi.

Caij
Fast-Moving Bounty Hunter With Devastating Attacks
- Found: At the Devastated Settlement after finishing the bounty board
This Kit Fisto wannabe isn’t physically imposing, and she knows that. That’s why she spends the entire battle running away. Caij dances around at the edge of the arena, firing volleys and sniper shots all the while. Players’ deflecting skills must be top-notch if they want to get close. Even then, she has a contingency batch of missiles. Colliding with these projectiles can reduce Cal to dust in no time. Players should make sure that they have enough Force energy to thwart it.
They should also hope they have the reflexes to stay ahead of everything else. Only once they overcome all of this can they finally deliver a few melee blows. Before they know it, though, Caij leaps out of reach. Then, they must start the whole exercise again. It’s the boss equivalent of dangling a bone in front of a dog’s nose.

Kle-0, Masi Finau, & Fenn Finau
Three Versus One
- Found: In Nova Garon’s Hangar Bay
Fighting three bounty hunters at once is no easy feat. Cal has taken on many individual bounty hunters since he first left Bracca, but these guys have the bright idea to work together, and players definitely feel that strength in numbers.

When it comes to sci-fi bounty hunters, a few stand out as being memorable. Here are some of the most iconic mercenaries ever.
The challenge comes from their attention being pulled in three directions. One combatant fires from behind a shield; another shoots volleys and rockets from the air; the third is a durable robot with a mean right hook. Cal can’t focus on any individual enemy for too long before dodging their friends’ attacks. Players need to stay on their toes, and keep a watchful eye out for where each of the three bounty hunters are so they are not surprised by attacks coming from off-screen.
4
Rayvis
This Warrior Has Only Been Defeated One Time
- Found: On Shattered Moon, the boss fight at the end of the 2nd visit
At first, Rayvis seems like a standard brute. He may hit hard, but his strikes are slow and easy to avoid. Even when his mace becomes a flail, his AOE attacks can be avoided with simple dodges. However, these are just a preview of his true power.
During the battle’s second stage, Rayvis gains a rush of speed while losing none of his strength. He wields his mace in long combos, which are more difficult to dodge since he’s now drawn to Cal like a magnet. On the rare occasion when the hero gets some distance, his opponent lets loose with rapid-fire blaster bursts. Combined with enough damage to demolish one’s health, Rayvis’s second wind is like fighting a freight train.
3
Dagan Gera
A Long Fight Against A High Republic Jedi
- Found: Forest Array first, Lucrehulk second, and Koboh Observatory for the final showdown
What makes this fight so difficult is its length. Dagan’s double-bladed lightsaber gives him an ironclad defense. Players must gradually wear down this defense. Only then can they deal a good amount of real damage, but they’ll be surprised at how miniscule that damage is.

Each strike only takes down a small fraction of health. There’s no way to accelerate this, so the sole option is to keep hammering away while avoiding any retaliation. As a result, this becomes less of a battle and more of a challenge of outlasting the enemy. In a game where any blow could be one’s last, that’s not easy. This makes it all the more disheartening to start over after a long struggle.
2
Darth Vader
Star Wars’ Most Iconic Villain Puts Up A Tough Fight
- Found: On Jedha during Cal’s third visit
It figures the most iconic Star Wars baddie would put up a tough fight. Vader has all the challenges of Dagan Gera amplified. His sturdy defense is slightly easier to break, but the damage to his health is practically microscopic. It’s probably one of the benefits of being more machine than man. That doesn’t slow him down, though.
The Sith Lord is notably more aggressive than Dagan. He doesn’t just wait to counter players’ assault. Instead, he chases them around the arena and attacks whenever the chance arises. Fans must be quick on their feet and stay alert, all while keeping a consistent pattern of attack. It’s ultimately no wonder that Cere doesn’t come out on top. That said, Vader isn’t the strongest enemy that Jedi: Survivor has to offer.
1
Bode
A Versatile Fighter With Many Quick Attacks
- Found: On Tanalorr, the final boss fight of the game
Cal’s once-reliable friend becomes his most difficult enemy in a sad twist at the end of the game. Bode makes up for his lack of Jedi skills through sheer variety. He attacks with his lightsaber, but he also sports blasters, snipers, bombs, and Force powers. Since he switches between these weapons in rapid succession, players must have near-perfect reaction times to avoid them. Granted, they have some relief with Merrin as a partner, but that doesn’t last long, as she frequently vanishes to attempt a stealth strike.
This leaves Cal to deal with Bode on his own. Not only must he survive a relentless onslaught, but he also has to get a hit in every now and then. His blows may deal more damage than with other bosses, but he has fewer chances to inflict that damage. In the end, he spends all his energy trying not to die.
