There are just a couple of days left in Fortnite OG Season 1. The first season of the new permanent game mode has been a bit of a mixed bag. Some players have complained that there’s not enough going on in the game mode, with too few POIs and too few items to make it as enjoyable as it could be. Epic Games has heard their cries, though. They’re ramping up the content for Season 2 which arrives in just a few days.

Fortnite OG Season 2 to Add Popular Items Back
Fortnite OG Season 1 tried to be as faithful as it could be to the actual Chapter 1 Season 1. It followed the update schedule, too. However, players didn’t love the pacing, so Epic Games is ditching that plan for Season 2. They’ve already revealed the new map, and it’s skipping ahead to when Tilted Towers, Haunted Hills, Snobby Shores, and a couple of other places were added to the game.
That means that they’re skipping a few updates before these places arrived back in Chapter 1, but they will not be skipping the items that arrived in them. Those items are all being added at the same time. According to leaker HYPEX, several popular items will be added at the launch of Season 2:
- Boogie Bombs
- Mini Shields
- Chug Jugs
- Cozy Campfires
- The Suppressed Pistol
- The Minigun
All of these items came at some point during the early days of Chapter 1. They did not all arrive at the onset of Season 2, though. Epic Games is stepping in to make sure there’s plenty of content. This way, the interest in the mode doesn’t wane. They’re sticking to the rough two-month timeframe for each season, but they’re making sure there’s more content in those seasons moving forward.
This is a leak just like the Sabrina Carpenter crossover, but all of these items were in the original season. Epic Games has been extremely faithful so far, so it’s very likely that these items will get added. You can expect them on February 1 when OG Season 2 arrives but take it with a grain of salt.
