Think back to Wrestlemania XIX, on March 30, 2003. The Undertaker, who had then adopted his Biker Taker persona, rode out on his bike to face Big Show with Limp Bizkit playing Rollin’ live – peak entertainment. It’s perhaps this peak that Capcom and Netflix hoped to capture with the opening credits of the Devil May Cry anime.

Is It Finally Time For Devil May Cry 6?
It’s been five years since Devil May Cry 5. So where is Dante?
While it may seem like a fever dream, Netflix has taken a bold decision to go with Limp Bizkit’s Rollin’ as the opening credits for the show. Revealed late yesterday, it serves as a teaser for the upcoming anime as well as a launch date announcement. Devil May Cry will be available to stream on Netflix from April 3.
Devil May Cry Anime Opening Credits And Release Date Revealed
If you’re worried about how the opening credits look, it’s merely a stylistic choice. The show itself will feature a fairly traditional anime art style. We first heard about the show a few years ago, but it was only officially announced only about a year ago. The Devil May Cry anime is created by Adi Shankar, best known for the excellent Castlevania Netflix series, and features artwork by Studio Mir.
As for the setting, Dante’s overall look suggests that it might be set during the events of Devil May Cry 3, but the completed version of the Perfect Amulet he’s wearing makes us think it’s definitely set after the first game. Considering the video game series is pretty fluid with its timelines, we’ll only find out on April 3.
Coming back to the opening credits, besides making us feel nostalgic with the edgy song selections that perfectly suits the series, we can also see a number of Dante’s iconic weapons, like Rebellion, Yamato, and Agni and Rudra among others. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing them in the actual series as well.
If Castlevania was anything to go by, you can expect Devil May Cry to be extremely entertaining, action-packed, and filled with gore. We’ll probably get more information on the show ahead of launch.
