With the arrival of Black Ops 6 Season 2, the Zombies mode now has four maps for players to choose from. With Black Ops 6 only being a few months old and already having four maps in its cycle, it’s time to take a look at the choices that fans have so far to see how they rank against each other to find the best Black Ops 6 Zombies map, and to question how they compare to the grand scale of COD Zombies’ past from World at War to Black Ops 6.

Call of Duty Zombies Map Tier List
From World at War to Black Ops 6, Treyarch’s Call of Duty Zombies series has seen some titanic ups and downs, with almost 40 maps to choose from.
Each of the four maps in Black Ops 6 has its own unique traits that make it a fun time for all, but the maps themselves will be judged on replayability, Wonder Weapons, size, atmosphere, and of course, the factor of fun within their designs. So, let’s see how each BO6 Zombies map ranks.

The Tomb
A Relatively Small Map With Plenty of Side Content, But Confusing Origins
The Tomb is the newest map in Black Ops 6, coming in at the launch of Season 2. It’s not a bad map, but it is noticeably less than the others, as it’s fairly small and compact. The Tomb feels like an old Call of Duty Zombies map with how small it is, and the bundle of re-used assets brings about a classic feel. While The Tomb is fun for fast-paced and short bursts, and the side easter eggs warrant fun rewards, it does falter in a few aspects.
The Tomb’s over-reliance on boss enemies like Shock Mimics, Amalgams, and Doppelghasts can be somewhat overwhelming for the high rounds, and the nostalgia-baiting from the beloved map Origins with the return of the mound, the music, and the Staff of Ice, doesn’t really seem to fit the theme of the map, nor the story that’s moving forward.
Even with the aspects of the story and the mystery of its incredible Wonder Weapon, The Tomb doesn’t deserve to be hated on for the fact that it’s a filler map as players await something more expansive. It’s short, sweet, and all kinds of deadly in its claustrophobic design and darkened dig site aesthetics.

Liberty Falls
A Town in West Virginia Overrun by Undead Holds Plenty of Space
Taking to Liberty Falls, the launch map of Black Ops 6, players have plenty of space to run around in this truly beginner-friendly experience. For players who want to jump into zombies casually or experience the mode as a beginner, or even as someone not well versed in its difficulty, Liberty Falls is the map to start with. The power is always on, allowing players to get every Perk-a-Cola, and all they need to do to get Pack-a-Punch is open some doors.

Call of Duty Zombies: Best Main Quests in the Series
Call of Duty Zombies features grand-scale easter eggs with incredible lore potential, challenging steps, and fun boss fights, but which is the best?
Liberty Falls allows players to stay for the long haul, as it’s an expansive derelict town with plenty of corpses to re-kill, with plenty of space for four players to roam about safely. The areas are large and expansive, providing safe spaces for players to train zombies around, even if they might have to mess with a Mangler or two, or even fight the dreaded three-headed Abomination.
Liberty Falls is a friendly map for casual players that makes for a great experience to grind out camos and hit further prestige, but its grinding aspect is what makes it replayable. It’s an easy enough map to get things done, but the personality and aesthetic of the map could use more of an undead feel.
2
Terminus
A Prison Island Filled With Monstrously Dark Experiments
Terminus is another launch map for Black Ops 6 where the story really begins, showcasing its set of four operators as they attempt to leave this prison island where they have been left to rot. Terminus presents a modern yet classic formula in the Zombies mode by forcing players to advance through the rounds to open up doors and turn on the power but still manages to feel new with its expansive and spacious areas.
Terminus has one of the best aesthetics in COD Zombies history, harking back to the likes of Zetsubou No Shima and Shi No Numa with its swampy atmosphere, overrun with nature, darkened greens, along with the claustrophobic feeling that makes leaving seem like an impossible task. From the underground Requiem labs to the Patient 13-dominated oceans that lead to other islands, Terminus is brimming with content and design.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 – Best Zombies Maps, Ranked
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has one of the most beloved Zombies modes in the franchise’s history, but how does every map rank to decide the best?
Exploring Terminus is a blast, as the aesthetics look great, turning on the power can feel challenging at times, and crafting the Wonder Weapon becomes its own puzzle that’s fun to experience. Terminus is a more classic map outside of the generic and casual farming of Liberty Falls, providing a competent aesthetic along with a challenging experience with its Manglers and Amalgams at the ready to cause further chaos.
1
Citadelle des Morts
A French Castle With Medieval Aesthetics and Lethal Elemental Swords
Citadelle des Morts was the DLC1 map of Black Ops 6, and it didn’t disappoint. The evolving trend of the first new content maps in Call of Duty Zombies continues to be the best, and Citadelle des Morts joins those ranks by providing an experience that feels reminiscent of some of the S-Tier maps in the franchise like Origins and Der Eisendrache, thanks to its reliance on Elemental Wonder Weapons like the Bastard Swords which each have their own unique upgrade quests.
The swords feel greatly satisfying to swing, and immensely powerful when combined with Melee Macchiato. While the elemental variants are a lot of fun, there is a lot to be desired in their swing power, as the inability to kill multiple zombies at once is a tad frustrating. That frustration aside, there are few flaws in Citadelle des Morts, and it makes for a satisfying experience for Zombies fans thanks to its fast-paced gameplay and map design.
The aesthetics of a Medieval castle lost to the undead hordes is a great feeling, and trying to navigate through catacombs and the castle walls while outrunning dreaded Amalgams and Doppelghasts can be exhilarating, especially while swinging a sword to get sprinting zombies off your tail. The aesthetics are great, the Wonder Weapons are fun, the map layout is expansive yet fairly claustrophobic, and the connotations of the Chaos story revitalize the franchise going forward.
