Farming Simulator 25 can be an intimidating game to get into. There are a lot of things going on mechanically, and a timetable to get everything done in. One of the most important things to take care of in the very beginning is figuring out where you’d like to start your farm, assuming you aren’t starting with the default lot.

The Riverbend Springs map is likely the first map most players are going to play on, but it’s not necessarily the most straightforward map available. You’ll need to pay attention and plan ahead to make sure you’re making the right decisions when starting out, particularly when buying your first lot.

Lot Twenty-Four

Simple And Big

While it’s certainly expensive, if you know that you’re planning on planting and harvesting a wealth of crops in your Farming Sim run, then Lot 24 is going to be one of the premier options. Situated on the north side of the map, Lot 24 is very big, coming in at a price of €568,416. While that’s a steep ask in the early days, you’ll recoup that cost by working with a field of this size in no time.

Lot 24 also has great things surrounding it, too, allowing you to add other facets to your farming operation at will. Further north are trees for a small forestry operation, while other medium-sized fields sit on both sides and to the south. It’ll be a big investment, but it’s an easily lucrative one if you’re keeping the operation constantly rolling.

Lot Eighty-Four

Convenience At Every Turn

Lot 84 is one of the most unique lots in the game, situated just north of the town. This puts all the locations in town within walking distance, making most regular trips extremely convenient. The lot costs €225,192 overall. For the location and the size of the lot, it’s an extremely reasonable price. While it’s a bit of an unfortunate shape for farming, it’s above-average square-footage wise.

The downside of this setup is expansion; there are no adjacent lots of land to buy. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any nearby lots to grab because 83 and 82 are within sight. Further south, there are a few more medium-sized ones, as well. But, if you’re looking for a large farming operation, this might not be your first choice.

3

Lot Eighty-One

Quite Close To The Animal Dealer

Located on the opposite side of the town from Lot 84, Lot 81 is about half the price for a slightly smaller size but possibly more convenient location, depending on what you’re looking to do. Lot 81 is going to set you back €124,943, which is not a steep price for what you get, with a lot that’s certainly on the larger-medium size.

Farming Simulator 25: How To Improve Your Crop Yield

If you’re looking for better crop yields in Farming Sim 25, you’re in the right place.

Primarily, the advantage of Lot 81 is its proximity to the Animal Dealer. One short walk, and you’ll be there, making Lot 81 perfect for setting up locations for animals. It can be expanded southward, too, into 85 and 80. In fact, if you’re only looking to deal in animals, Lot 80 could be a better choice. If you’re looking for a hybrid setup, these three lots are definitely going to be ones you’ll want to take a look at.

2

Lot Thirty-Four

Extremely Small, Extremely Manageable, And Great For Crops

One of the smallest lots in the whole game, Lot 34 has a super cheap price to match its size at €25,224. This makes it as entry-level as you can get, allowing you to save quite a bit of money for future farming plans. This is a field that’s easy to cultivate, sow, harvest, and everything else you’ll need to do in just a few minutes, and get rid of any need or desire to hire a farmhand to help out.

There’s also a farmhouse just north of the lot, as well as other lots of various sizes all around, letting you expand in a very free-form kind of way. It means you can diversify your crops with ease, and plan out in plenty of different directions with much more ease than many other starting lots.

1

Lot Eighty-Six

Scenic, Beautiful, And Full Of Trees

By far the most expensive lot on this list at €634,944, Lot 86 is a great, if challenging, option. Chock full of trees and hills, Lot 86 would be perfect for a large forestry operation, the only problem being the terrain. It can be difficult to maneuver your vehicles in the way you need to maneuver them with the winding hills and paths. But for those very comfortable with the vehicles, they can make it work.

The advantage of Lot 86, besides the abundance of trees, is the view. It’s a very pretty location, with quite a bit of variance when it comes to the views. The best view comes from the tower near the north-central portion of the lot. You can more or less see the rest of the map from up there, and makes for a perfect place to cool down after a long day’s work on the farm.
