However, those hoping to jump in early have been plagued with a range of issues, slowing the game down or even stopping them from opening packs altogether.

Space-Time Smackdown Causes Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket Issues

The issues have been apparent from the moment the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket app is opened, with a circle loading bar hovering on the screen, rotating again and again, and this extends to the wider app.

Almost every function within the game has been slowed down, from opening packs to checking missions to the Wonder Pick function and even checking your already-owned collection.

The issue has been reported all over the globe, with many players on the Trading Card Game Pocket subreddit expressing their disappointment.

The issue, of course, likely comes from the fact that millions of players likely all logged into the game at the moment that Space-Time Smackdown launched, putting severe pressure on the server. Thankfully, as time progresses, things seem to be clearing up.

It’s the second time in as many days that Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket players have been frustrated with the game, as yesterday, the long-awaited trading feature caused a ruckus.

Players who were anticipating the function were shocked by the “predatory and downright greedy” requirements they needed to meet in order to trade with friends. DeNA and The Pokemon Company have seemingly heard the complaints, with the players who have been able to log in this morning receiving 120 Trade Hourglasses and 500 Trade Tokens.
