The Minecraft movie will be here before you know it and in preparation of that, Lego has revealed two sets that turn elements of it into toy bricks. The Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring and Ghast Balloon Village Attack sets will be available to buy from March 1, 2025, and while Lego and Minecraft have worked together before, these sets promise to be quite a bit different from the ones that have come before.
Lego and Minecraft have worked together extensively, as a matter of fact, with almost 100 sets based on elements of Minecraft’s never-ending world released so far. A game in which everything is made of blocks looking to a company famous for building things out of plastic bricks makes a lot of sense.

There’s not going to be any Sonic-style tweaking this time.
As for the two new Minecraft sets coming our way on March 1, the key difference is their Minifigures. Minecraft Lego’s Minifigures tend to be somewhat unique as they’re designed to resemble the blocky characters from the game. However, since the Minecraft movie will put real people in Minecraft’s world, the Minifigures representing them in these new sets are closer to traditional Lego people.

Jack Black, who seems to have become to go-to guy in Hollywood for video game movies, will play Minecraft’s Steve, and in turn, Black’s portrayal of Steve is now a Lego Minifigure. As far as I know, this is the first time Black has been turned into Lego, although if I’m missing a prior appearance in a Lego set, let me know in the comments below.
And before you all say it, no, Bowser doesn’t count
Black’s Steve Minifigure will be included in both sets, but if you want Jason Momoa – who will play Garrett Garrison, Gamer of the Year 1989 – you will need to pick up the Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring set. Since Momoa’s Aquaman has at least one Minifigure, this isn’t the actor’s first Lego rodeo, although his new look is quite a bit different from the one he sported in the DCEU.
The scene and location used for the sets have both been shown in the Minecraft movie’s trailers. That might mean there are more Minecraft movie sets to come modeled after locations we haven’t seen yet once the film has been released. For now, these are the only two we know we’re getting for sure. The Woodland Mansion set is 491 pieces and costs $49.99, and the Ghast Balloon Village Attack set is 555 pieces and costs $69.99. Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring
Lego’s Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring takes a location from A Minecraft Movie and turns it into toy bricks. The set is 491 pieces and includes Minifigure versions of Jack Black and Jason Momoa’s characters in the film.

The Ghast Balloon Village Attack
One of the first things we were shown from A Minecraft Movie via its trailers is its main characters battling against the blocky world’s enemies, some of which are riding a Ghast balloon. This set will let Minecraft fans recreate that scene a month before the movie hits theaters.
