Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist features a giant map. Each section is pretty massive, so you might wonder whether the game stays true to its design, i.e. features fast travel. Yes, there’s fast travel — without it, going back to the previous section would become as hectic as anything can get.

It’s a great year to use new power-ups to unlock new areas.

The game’s scale is massive, so fast travel is necessary, but you won’t get this option at the very start. You must progress just a little to unlock this feature and beat Yovlan, the Black-Winged Huntsman. Here, we will show you exactly how you can unlock this mechanic.

How To Unlock Fast Travel

Fast travel can be unlocked by completing a main quest, The Search for the Winged Homunculus in the Old City Market. On your way, the main character will interact with Gordon, and the quest will begin. Speaking to the old man, you will learn about Yolvan, a Homunculus with wings.

Now, you have to find Yolvan and defeat him to complete the quest, but before that, make sure to unlock the Private Quarters Respite. To unlock the Respite, go ahead of Gordon and drop down. After that, head over to the Old City – Lower Stratum. This quest isn’t that complicated, so finding your way wouldn’t be difficult.

When you are close, Nola will notify you that the Winged Homunculus is nearby. Another indicator of Yolvan being near is the Clock Tower Plaza – Entrance Respite. So, head left when you arrive at this Respite, and the boss fight will commence.

How To Beat Yolvan

Defeating Yolvan isn’t tough, even though it has two phases. This boss may seem a little complicated at first, but once you figure out how to evade its attack, you can defeat it without taking a single hit.

In order to beat the first phase easily, just try to approach it as soon as it flies away. This way, most of its attacks will miss you, but if one is about to connect, just dodge and perform some aerial attacks. This should be your strategy for the first phase, and it will be over without much trouble.

The boss won’t throw projectiles that often, but even if it does, the attack is pretty slow, so evading it is simple.

Once the second phase starts, don’t get intimidated by it. The boss will have only three moves: a claw attack, a slam attack, and projectiles. These attacks are slow and can be dodged easily, so this fight won’t be a problem either.

Reward From The Boss Fight

After defeating Yolvan, he will become your ally, and you will get a new ability, Barrage, along with the option to travel freely. When the fight ends, go back to Gordon and talk to him. He will then give you the Lower Stratum key and the fast travel ability will unlock shortly.

You can fast travel from any place you want to but do not forget that only Respite can be your destination. To do so, open the map and click on any of the unlocked Respite. Then confirm the intent, and you will fast-travel to the selected Respite.
