Ender Magnolia: Bloom In The Mist features a lot of abilities that you can use. While you can perform close and long attacks pretty early in-game, there is no indication of parry being a feature. However, after you progress a little and defeat the Shackled Beast, who will be the hardest boss so far, you can get your hands on the Parry ability.

This ability won’t just parry your opponents’ attack but also perform a counterattack, dealing tremendous damage, making it one of the best skills in-game. Using it can be a little tricky as there are many different enemies featuring a variety of attacks.
How To Parry
Once you have defeated the Shackled Beast, go back to Respite and equip the Chain Whip. Once done, approach any enemy and wait for them to attack you. The timing is a little forgiving, so if you activate the skill slightly early, don’t worry. It will still work.
To activate the skill, press R1 or RB, but if you have equipped the skill in a different ability slot, press that particular button to activate it.
Chain Whip has a skill cooldown, so you can’t spam it. You will have to wait for the skill cooldown to end before using it again. In order to decrease the cooldown by 15 percent, you can use the Eye of the Ancients as a relic.
Once you have successfully parried, the enemy’s attack will be completely nullified, and the Shackled Beast will perform a counterattack, dealing a tremendous amount of damage to nearby enemies as it has a good range. The counter-attack part makes it a must-have skill in the game.
This skill also has different variations that you can unlock: Charge and Benumbed Howl. Upon using the Charge skill, the Shackled Beast will lunge toward the enemies; it also has a bigger AoE than the Chain Whip.
On the other hand, Benumbed Howl, upon performing a parry, will let you perform a howl that will inflict freeze status on the enemies. Its AoE is pretty massive.
